lot of brave guys out there. the strength of the wind here it would be bordering on cruelty to let pigeons up to fly 400 miles and as i said in a previous post the wind on the coast is usually worse. wait and see how the feds who are racing today get on before moaning

You can be sure the decision to hold over was not taken lightly, and Jim always has the birds in mind when making decisions. He has to consider the majority if the convoy no just the winners, by that i mean, while the winners would get up the road in decent time, it does the sport, in general, no good liberating doos in conditions where only a minority of the convoy can hope to be in their own lofts on the day of Lib, jmo.

Mr Quinny i accept most of what you are saying but they could have been up around the 6.00am mark and why leave fanciers hanging on until 10.00am

Brian,

Got to disagree,

Its no often I condemn race controllers but they've got it wrong today. A 8:30-9:00 lib would've been perfect for the SNFC

YES I THOUGHT APPROX 30MPH WOULD HAVE BEEN ABOUT RIGHT ON A DAY TODAY JOHN

wait and see what the returns are like tonight. i estimate 25% at best. hope i am wrong. i would have liked a race as much as anyone but you got to be realistic & if the first doos are only doing 30mph then it is not a good race

I think there is an excellent chance of being away tomorrow, the wind in s/e England is dropping a good bit by morning, and the showers are dying out too. Be away for 6am. ;)
