When Thatcher was in the driving seat I was paying 18% interest on the mortgage. And thousands of us lost our jobs. People went bankrupt and lost their homes. Meanwhile, the wealthy carried on making a fortune.

It's really a simple choice for me (maybe i'm simple) Under the tories life was miserable for the common five eight, the working man, the people who really make the country tick. They made sure all their pals and buddies got financial gain while destroying some of our national industries, the coal board being the main one. Yes the miners were their own worst enemies at times but these guys worked in the worst environment we could ever emagine and the reward for this from the tories was pit closures and thousands on the dole. The U.K. had some of the most modern mines in europe and still has plenty coal. Bottom line was the miners had too much power and Maggie did not like that. It's called CONTROL, and like it or not we (the world) are controled by just a few MONEY men. It's in everything you read, see, watch, hear and own. They tell you what they think you should know. They show you what they think you should see. They control you every day of your life but we've all got so used to it we don't notice. Simple choice is reflect back on your life and choose the party that will do the most, or has done the most in the past for you and your parents, grand parents etc. Dovey is so right when he says you should vote as your forefathers did not have this priveledge. Get oot an vote. Bye the way, I was'nt a miner I just felt for them and thier famalies at the time. This country is so lucky it survived that woman, it's worrying to think what may happen if someone like her got in again. Sorry to go on. looks like a hung parliment probably be a labour \ lib dem coalitition , probably get another election before 4 years up what a shame at people been unable to vote and others allowed to vote after station supposed to be closed , then one polling station ran out of voting slips , on gmtv reports of under 18's getting sent polling papers , surely in this dane age be better for to making voting compulsary and make it a public holiday , its compulsary to register to vote so why not make it compulsary to vote , think be better installing computer systems at polling stations and have it all done electronicaly be much easier and counting be automatic

I'd love the Tory voters to have to pay for a operation. The deliverance of the baby. Well may well be soon, for now the time is nigh, when they will have the chance to first hand! i suspect the issue of 'electoral reform' in the shape of 'prop. representation' will decide that.....of course the irony would be that we would then be in this situation after every election. i support 'PR'....but there would be some 'uncomfortable side effects'
