dal2 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 still got two tae spane then that will be it.Bred 68 killed 19 gan wae 49 hope to find that elusive champ somewhere in there.
JohnQuinn Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Still got a few in the nest but almost finished. Have bred 70 this year, as yet all healthy. If i was killing 19 out of 68 i would seriously look at my methods!!!!!
dal2 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 John mateHave only got room for fifty younguns. Im kill wot a dinny like ie: the yins wae the tail up when you handle them, bent or bashed keels, snifflers, grunters and non conformists. Been daein this for years. Nae point keepin wot ye dinny like.Cheers steven
JohnQuinn Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 True enough mate. Each to their own, but in'97 we had a beautiful team of about 50, one of which had pin feathers eveywhere, told ma da to get rid of ti as it spoiled the team. He told me to leave it alone. That yb topped Strathclyde Amalgamation in the final yb race, it was then 3rd west sec 50th open snfc Hastings 2001. Bad characteristics doesn't always mean a bad doo1

My best yearling this year had a dropped tail feather last year but luckily selections no quite that stringent. All the big winners ave handled ave never seen a poor yin. Just think that if you believe in a certain type o doo and youve bred enough for decent team then why waste time and money on them JMOCheers steven

Guest bakes Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 could anybody tell me who would you go to for latebreds for stockloft for channel birds at end of season if it was me i would get them off members off her there sir dame will be proven birds i would go and look at the scottish lads that are on here that are flying well at the distances dont have to be big team flyers i would go to someone with a small team that stand the test each year over in uk i would stay with members on here and i would go and look to aquire birds iver from oldyellow, stan the man, demolition man,j bamling as there all got birds capable of doing the distances and with some bloody good results to show for it. that would be me anyway if i was after some latebreds for the channle races all the best
sapper756 Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 whos all still breeding or has most of use stopped now. My plan was to be finished breeding by now, however a club mate has had a poor breeding season, so I am breeding him 6 youngsters, then that is me finishedhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif
paddymac Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Still a few in the nests but they are for friends as I bred enough for myself (41) and I have also given about a dozen away already. I don't like too many young birds.
JohnQuinn Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 could anybody tell me who would you go to for latebreds for stockloft for channel birds at end of season Gareth Rankin is the man you want to speak to for distance birds, you can be sure of good birds, that are from distance stock, and a square deal to boot. Now would be a good time to speak to him as his team are getting ready for the Nationals
