PIGEON_MAN Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 As a club sec.we have both Unikon and Bricon in our club and as Bart says they basically all do the same job,but I must say some of our members have had a lot of problems with Unikon.
PATTY BHOY Posted November 9, 2008 Author Report Posted November 9, 2008 how much would a good system cost
kirky Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 how much would a good system cost just under £300 for a start up system, most are around this price and are all about the same to use,
Larry Lucas Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I have owned both Unikon and Benzing. Hands down, Unikon is best.
pigeon123 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I have bricon i had no problems sent in club and open races with no problem.

naedoos Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 our whole club been using unikon for past 2 years, no probs (ok) but as someone posted earlier they all do the same job just find out which suits you best
blackswan Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 the best e t s is one you get for nowt
alex wight Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Unikon at old club unikon at new, good system for me and the clubs i,ve been in. Whatever your preference is, check what system your club/fed/national uses, much of muchness though.
xtccock Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 correct me if im wrong but UNIKON is heavily advertised, also the lottery grants excetra have been succesfull (WITH THE HELP OF UNIKON TO BE ACHEIVED) SO which is any good ?what probems have been encountred,? the response has got to come from users and not agents!!!! and yes i am looking to use ets next year.........
OLDYELLOW Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 much easier to use same E.T.S as rest of your club members so eventualy ill get a Bricon System , keep hinting be a nice xmas pressy
Michael J Burden Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I have had Bricon and Unikon. Bricon lost and is now gone. I would not have that system even if they sponsored me and gave it to me for nowt. Unikon in my experience does exactly what it says on the tin, not like the others who are just full of spin.
just ask me Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 what are the differences between the systems like what will one do that the one wont

What was so wrong with it ?
Guest Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 am no an agent :-/ thats a pity,thought i could of got a discount,(dissappointed)
Pompey Mick Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 My Club was fortunate to obtain a Grant to equip all our members with ETS (if they so wished) and as a Secretary I was keen to get Unikon mainly because it worked with the ECS results program which gives the facility to electronically download all the times into the race program. We have had one failure out of 25 Clocks the whole season, and one instance of a race being wrongly struck-off. Apart from that, as a Secretary I find the Unikon system easy to manage, now that all the updates seem to have been sorted.

I would be very interested as to the problems you had with Bricon,we have had no problems with Bricon but with Unikon we have had about 4 members have problems with birds not being clocked, and we could not get a answear from Unikon as to why this happened.
Taylorsloft Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 ive been useing unikon for 5 years no probs .software probs this year

PATTY BHOY Posted November 9, 2008 Author Report Posted November 9, 2008 would it be wise to have a clock for back up along with ETS.
