stiffler Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Hi can i ask you all in your opinion what are the best all round birds to invest in, Im looking to try and find some decent birds but not for silly money as i've been ripped off a lot in the past and not done very well in the past couple of seasons with them and you all seem honest people on here so would apprecaite your feedback. Thanks Mark
Guest mr mrs arnold sons Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 best allround birds are janseen
schouwman71 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 i think most familys now are all round pigeons, what you need to find is the best ones that will breed you winners, then theres the feeding and keeping up with there health, motivation and 100% dedication with them, thats the only way you will keep up with all the rest. Tony C Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 There's good and bad in all strains. If I were you I'd buy on performances not strains. Look at buying late breds they'll be cheaper still. That would give you a summer to search out fanciers that race a small team and put up credible performances. I would also go on old bird perfomances alone. Best of luck
Guest Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Busschaerts, Wildemeersch, Janssens, all as good as anything for multi-purpose use.
jimmy white Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 any newcomer would be far better having patience , then getting the best of latebreds [i,e direct from winners] , for next to nowt itzaholdover ;D ;D ;D like it ;D ;D ;D t,

Best of luck Agree 100% forget strain name look for fanciers who have birds that are performing the way you would want yours to. Another important thing to remember is to buy birds that are winning in your area if it's sprint / middle distnce you want. There are birds that will win out of turn in some areas but do nothing in others. I would look to fanciers on your line of flight that fly 20/40 mile further than you. You know their birds are good over the terrain and in the weather conditions you generally get.
Guest youngzimmy Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 any bird that busschaert took into his loft was a busschaert as far as he was concerned so realy no one knows for sure what a busschaert is
