T_T Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 System will record those birds arrival time from the race (as trainers). To me it's just a matter of cross checking the arrival print with the original race entry print to verify the bird was in the race. If the bird's details checks-out, I don't see a problem with giving the member his bird's time in the race Couldn't agree more IB exactly the same thing happened to me Sat past and I raced mine in training mode giving me the same reading as in race mode and we had the Fri night print outs to confirm pigeons.
REDCHEQHEN Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Oh come on Chris, never had a clock stopped? Set in the wrong chamber? Unable to read because no ink, battery dead, clock jammed. You missed 'ran out of paper' All of the highlighted ones have happened to me in the last 3 seasons clock has jammed twice in the same race out of the last 3 seasons as well but to be honest - I would still prefer a clock to ETS
Guest jamesa Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 if you had only put your clock in the base 5 mins before the birds were expected home could you have won the race without geting the birds still dont see an answer to this ? could it be that someone has done this
john@formula 1 lofts Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Hi Jamesa I have not seen this issue but from what i have read on this and other forums all birds are clocked at the same time so if you sent 10, 20, 100 etc they would all have the exact same time. think someone would question this if it had happend PMSL John
Guest jamesa Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 i think that the birds were clocked when it was put in the base unit so if you did not put it in untill 5 mins befor the birds were due back that would be the time you were in
john@formula 1 lofts Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Yes you would be in that time but it would show all your birds on the exact same time do not think anyone could claim all my entries come at the same time and all landed on the pad at the same time and were in front of everyone elses.
Guest jamesa Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 but if you only sent 1 or 2 who would be able to tell and if the ets is infallible how could you appeal as i said if this was a t3 or stb doing this they would stop them being used
Guest spin cycle Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 will an ets ring fit in the chamber of the stb i wouldn't have thought so . its unfortunate whats happened re unikon but in answer to the original question i don't see how it could be allowed as it would set a precedent for future. as for a convetional clock as 'back up'....how are 'disabled fanciers to cope ? that is the reason for ets after all. IMO you can't really expect to take the clocking advantage of ets but want the security of conventional clocking.
Guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Hi Jamesa I have not seen this issue but from what i have read on this and other forums all birds are clocked at the same time so if you sent 10, 20, 100 etc they would all have the exact same time. think someone would question this if it had happend PMSL John but what if it was a nat. race and you only had 1 bird away and put the clock into the base station just at the right time to win the nat now that makes it different does it not!!!!!!!
Guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 i would think its time to suspend this brand untill its proven to be corrected and although the other brands have not done this (YET) it brings the whole ets situation in to doubt
Taylorsloft Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 It went wrong with a lot of clocks at the weekend Stevie myself included but i only had 2 doos out of the race so it never affected me as much mate
Roland Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 They clock in part seconds. I put up, and could possible again where 17 times in the second. 38 birds clocked in a secon.... several same 100th of a second. Then I believe the print goes on an Alphebetical order of ring numbers.
Taylorsloft Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 It went wrong with a lot of clocks at the weekend Stevie myself included but i only had 2 doos out of the race so it never affected me as much mate was it just your club

weecunny Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 would say the clocks faltyand should be out the race if any thing ring off time is all u should get as if a stb goes falty thats aw a would get
andy Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 i think that the birds were clocked when it was put in the base unit so if you did not put it in untill 5 mins befor the birds were due back that would be the time you were in Jamesa, I presume you haven't got ETS and never seen the multiple timings. It doesn't work like race mode. It happened with a member in our club last week and all the pigeons registered but no time, just an error code.
john@formula 1 lofts Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 So is this just if you had not updated your clock for the update which come out Feb time ????
