A WHITTAKER Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 got a bird home this morning from eastbourne. some smart ass thought that they were doing me a faver by removeing its ets ring why cant they just report the bird in stead of doing sutch stupid things beats me ??) ??)
hotrod Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 this is what's wrong in the doo game austin ,totally unacceptable . for all you out there that practice this you are (ar$eholes ).
pjc Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 sure when the majority have ets the practice will stop!
ALF Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Had 3 or 4 back in the last 3 years without their ETS ring on > > >
Guest ben Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 that they were doing me a faver by removeing its ets ring why cant they just report the bird in stead of doing sutch stupid things beats me Mr Whittaker, Please accept this senseable practise as part payment for looking after your bird, and given it it`s freedom when it was fit, perhaps if you conditioned the bird correcctly in the first place.it would have saved all these problems now. If the fancier in question had reported the bird in question, you would now have rubbish back in your loft, but at least £30 poorer. and to be honest i think you have come out of this sorid affair quite well,by the way,it wasn`t a little tic eyed blue hen was it ;)

sapper756 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 The sooner the original registered ring put on after 7days, is chipped. the sooner the better, I believe a club in Scotland are piloting such a ring, this year :-/
fred smyth Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 dont est rings store ur loft number so if someone tries to use it the club will no its not theirs ,,
john cumming Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 defo out of order, i and my neighbour have both had birds return with ets ring removed, there are some real retards out there that call themselves pigeon fanciers!!!

Please keep your pathetic comments to yourself > >
me Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 When I was younger removing a birds "rubber" was the time honoured method of informing the owner his bird was a strag. Of course he could have made you send for it and cost you £30 or you could get it a new "rubber" £1.50?. And there is a third course of action you could take which is the one I would recommend!

edwards Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 is the new life chip ring coming into play next season
Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 its not always the case of being removed ive seen a couple lying in baskets one of my mates had one that was brittle and shattered with a slight knock if you dont close them to the 2nd clip they have a habit of opening
PATTY BHOY Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 if some retard is removing the ets ring ,looks like to me their trying to keep the bird.
Roland Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Gosh, for the sake of a quid eh! at least you know it was possibly fed and watered, that it HAD gone in anothers loft! So you have the priveledge ofdecided what action - if any - you wish to take. Used to put a phone number in the rubber saying fed and watered. NEVER ever had a reply to say 'Thanks'
jont Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 the ets ring does store the members loft no, and the club officials and clock setters that assign rings would know the loft number of the stolen ring, they should then inform the union and deal with the offender, unless a satisfactory is given as to why he has an other members ets ring.
A WHITTAKER Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 hy ben if you think that takeing of ets rings is part payment for looking after abird i think you would be better of in some other sport. as for conditioning the bird correctly maybe you would be kind e nuf to tell me how as i have keeped racers for 65 years i always have an open mind so please fell free

alex wight Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Austin dont lower yourself to such scum. I super glue my rings on, so that if there was a chance a desperado fancier tried to remove the ring they couldnt use it again. We all know that you are a top flier, and this is just a desperate person(not fancier) and probably not an ets user or supporter. Keep up the good flying m8, alex.
Guest Davy Fleming Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 AUSTIN. Ask that NUTTER Ben who he thinks he is making such derogatory remarks concerning yourself or maybe he will answer me. Can only assume he knows what he is talking about when it comes to conditioning birds and having rubbish in his lofts. But maybe he will tell us all how to condition them and tell us his results he has had over the last 10 , Can bet he doesn't have a patch on your results mate
Roland Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I don't for a minute believe that anyone is interested in the £1 etc. It is far more likely disgruntled fanciers disliking the smarmy way that ET's were brought in through the back door. No I don't wish to rehash all or ant pastence of what has happend. But it will continue to happen till attitudes die out, or changed.
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 40 birds with 40 rings 3members of club??? can i have the rings off um as it will save couple bob yes the quid counts
nagid Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 ive also had 1 from eastbourne today with e.t.s removed.maybe same idiot had mine in.a small note would be helpful and let us know where its been.if a fancier wants paid for feeding one bird for say two weeks its a sad day.its no wonder this sport of ours is in decline.BOP play a big part but the human hawk is doing us more damage for sure.marshall findlay.su o7 12806
