It is only thieving, sick, gits who do this. But it is probably the thin end of the wedge. There are plenty of people out there who will do this sort of thing. And I fully expect it to get worse. I say this because it is a theft that can be done with very little chance of being caught. Most thieves are also sneaky cowards and will always yield to temptation of thre sort we are offering them on a plate.

Going to happen, have to get over and accept it. Personally not bothered too much. A quid to know that they called in another loft. Was most likely fed and watered, and A. I can make a decision that might have been different if the Ring was intact. B. Have to accept that many Manual clockers, are making a point, and it is an unfair back door Job.

Too late to change the rules, it is here to saty, so they have to get over it... or not in some cases it would seem.

Have mine on the floor aside of me. Won't be set up till nigh all who want / can now afford it or whatever has one. I don't want any unfair advantages. So what if I lose a flipping ring? :-/ :-/ many are losing a lot more, not least races and positions, so yes I don't care if 10 out of ten come back without after I put mine on. Good luck to them... We will certainly be having the luck over them. So just as they are told to accept and get over it, time is we did too I guess.

Flipping heckers, a quid to win a race unfairly and moan when a ring goes mising eh!  :o :o :o

if the birds on a two race like Barcelona turns up with out its ring any fancier would be gutted no ring no position or any channel race  :-/

some sad people out there  :-/

Had one reported from Eastbourne in Newburgh Fife. When I spoke to him and told him where she was racing from he said that the bird had no rubber or ets ring on so he presumed it was a stock pigeon.

If the ets rings are being taken for their own use, then the person who assigns them in their club should ask for proof that the ets ring belongs to them as it alerts you that the ring is assigned to a different loft number :-/

I was in the SHU office this morning getting ETS rings for my y/b's and they said the SHU might be using the life ring next year :-/ :-/ :-/  1st i've heard of it but they seem to know more than us.....

iam not a suporter of ets but its 100% wrong to remove the ring so if your watching this thread(the people who are removing ets rings )  then get a life and stop it

They tell me your never oot there office, i no that you cant doo anything about some spineless git takeing the ETS ring of the bird, but it dosent belong to them, why didnt they remove the rubber in stead, its another £1 odds they have stole from an ETS user.

As bluetooner says, ID before the ring can be transfered over to you.

I dont have ets, but if I did I would be glad to know whether my pigeon had been in somewhere. I get the feeling when I read these posts the ring is worth more than the pigeon.

And no I dont!

Realism.

And Naedoos I take your point aboard of course. Mind again, if it was taken of from just a race in Scotland, I think 90% would want to know and decide what action if any.

When it was a race rubber removed, who complained eh! :-/ :-/

Very few. You knew it had called in abeen water and fed in another loft most likely.... and decided on any action. So I thnk a £1 for such knowledge is cheap.... better than buying another book or video ... or perhaps one should if they come back without the Ring ... for the bird IS telling you something needs to be taken on board.

So it comes back a week later with E.T. in tact - Has been in at least two lofts and you think... 'Well, it has just had a good learning curve, it must .... excuses excues for it'.

Yes can do it all seasons... And you wouldn't know a jot.

Sure some say that it's record at SEASON'S ends will tell you all you ned to know.

Mind you've spent another £25 racing it  :-/ :-/

The ring isnt worth anything to me, if the bird went into someone, why didnt they take the rubber of its leg, rather than remove the ETS ring, then i would have known it had been in. SIMPLE.

simple remedy either report the bird or put fone number inside ring to say when released the doo game is full of wanny be s ,thats the way it used to be :P

I've reported 3 birds with ets. They were all someone's champion. In each case I got "you can keep the bird but can you send the ring ets ring back"! Tells its own story.

If it was my champion I would gladly get it back, with or without its ring.

Perhaps rings could be programmed so that they cant be re-used unless its by the same fancier.

What a silly ideal, and i suppose the 15 million already doing the rounds should be destroyed ;D ;D what a t**t

Would think that this could be done without destroying the ones that are allready being used just a simple update sent out through the systems, brilliant idea.
