One of the hens I timed in YB National has just completed moult. Nothing unusual there, but she scored in yb National as a blue wf and now she is only a blue. No wf after moult, has anybody had this before? :-/

Very unusual John, isnt it. I like to see changes in birds but to lose white flights is a bit strange for me :-/

yes unusual del but nothing to worry about imo,it will just need to be a blue bar on the 2011 alencon result. ;) ;) :)

Hi Derek I have a young cock this year that was a blue w/f and is now a blue. He is a busschaertxwildemeersch bred by Jimmy Bamling. It has never happened to me before. Dissapointing thing is Jimmy told me all the best ones have one white flight, sod's law I suppose.

had this before, sometimes this actual feather is not white at the root so it regrows in the normal grey colour... we sometimes see this in feathers that are half white, but in these cases it is just right at where it grows from the wing...

had it many times derik ,in fact if you had looked closely at it before it moulted right at the root of the flight  you would have seen that it is dark coloured ,i have had ones that are white at the top one third  of the flight and dark/normal coloured the rest. cant remember if any were that special that had this .   :)
