The Convoyers report make disturbing reading as regards the return crossing

dont get this one homer49 ypres this year was one of the most successful races from over the water scottish fanciers have had in years.????? :-/ :-/

I Doubt if that would bother them homer, the birds would be over the top of that when coming over there surely , we get the same with the forth, low lying mist right up the forth valley some days and they just seem to go right over the top,, Especially in the YRPES race the birds would be flying quite strong by then and really heading for home , another point they may never have come in by dover and come in further up the country.

Your points are very valid

I myself thought the birds would head NW but by Colin Grays report the Belgian fanciers in attendance

said they would head for Calais and this is the direction they took according to Colin

into a light West Wind

I don,t know what time they were libbed at Alex but if it was early in the morning there could have been a light mist on the channel but i,m sure the pigeons will determine which way there wanting to go and if its clear above thats where they will head , i,m sorry mate i,ll go for that as i say don,t know what time your org liberated

whats this,  putting the lanarkshire birds  at risk,  i  think we will need to see if we can get our own  race controller  in to the national  vote for  jim at the agm   ;)

the national  couldn't  have bothered,  they bed hopped  with the unc   ;D Jim will see we get fair race   ;)and await east in the wind

Homer i didnae have the best of races from Ypres myself i sent 6 timed a late bred cock on the shift at 7.30pm and another 2 early the next morning at 5.50 and 6.10 and another yearling at lunchtime so getting 4 out my 6 with 3 of them being yearlings disnae make it out to be a bad race to me

why did the race no get up  at  5. 30    as  was requested,     by the race controler  after a one day hold over  any idea  :o :o
