Guest Owen Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 There are quite a few of those little gits on the canal and the river not far from here. Believe me they are not an animal to tangle with. They'll tackle anything. I tried to shoot one with a 2.2 rifle at quite close range. He took the shot right between the eyes. All he did was shake his head and ducked into a drain pipe. I shot him later with a shot gun. Hard little buggers
cemetary Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 found this on youtube ,, a must for your loft note this video is not in english They are hardy little buggers, what the falcon is saying let go ma beak ya dafty, this is for the camera, ah ah ah, They will doo the damage if they get into any loft, ave heard horrific stories about them when they have got into lofts.

REDCHEQHEN Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 A mink devastated one of our club members young bird team - in broad daylight killing more than 30 in a matter of a few minutes, the rest of the young bird team were petrified for weeks
Roland Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 One of the most distructive little critters out. Who ever introduced them here wanted horse whipping the brain dead cretin. Cunning and evil and wanton killers. Mind would soon clear the rats out and that's for sure lol ;D ;D

He reckoned it washed itself in one of the drinkers? He did get it, reckoned one of a pair living wild along the Westquarter burn at that time, escaped from a local farm.

chickadee Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 found this on youtube ,, a must for your loft note this video is not in english Be careful what you wish for Kevin, these will do a lot more damage than any hawk if you get one in your area. They kill just for the sake of it and will wipe our your stock in one visit Nice to see the hawk get a whipping
leighton1984 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 next door has traps set up all the time. best thing for them is to put some fish out with some thing in it lol. they do not live long after that. mink are not a big problem for us but this time of year is hawks so are birds will have to stay in. the wire that i have up at my loft is very strong so they can not get in been there seen what happens.
