Guest IB Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Well done Stuart and thank you for your response.Lanarkshire Boys are panicking about the 130 mile jump next week but as i have said before if they are fit and healthy, bred for the job there should be no problems.Gets rid of your 98% sh-te in a wanner. ;) No offence intended to anyone, in my opinion the birds haven't really had a testing race so far, wind has mostly been for them. Every race so far, I've had birds in for their first race, including today, a 2-yo latebred hen, 1 race last year, 62 miles, straight in at 187 miles, and she's here. I'm pretty new at jumping birds into races, the last one that I wasn't happy with is raking the skies tonight, a yearling hen, and my next race is 224 miles. It's either that or she misses everything worth going to this year. So I personally don't see a problem with Lanarkshire starting at Wakefield next week, provided the wind is for the birds. (SE)
