The point is most of the time it is a prevailing south/ west wind  most of the time and if that is the case then the dooman in the east and south are in for a easy race so you's east boys have the ba11s to say  that this is the case.

Hal i know an east wind can benefit us in the west but to be honest i hate them and most birds do aswell ;)

I think every fancier would agree that the earlier the better, and give the doos the best possible chance to make it on the shift..

davy the newbury national is 260 to some 435 to me .

well your looking at 175 miles and your not the furthest robbie

at roughly 40 mph on a good day your looking at least over 4 hours more on the wing

the birds slowing all the time with fatigue

look at the amount of open positions attained by all the sections compared to birds sent

and you will get your answer to which sections are easier/harder

just in from work and cant believe this thread is still running ,what i can say is i cant believe  some of the posts on here,  walter masson making a statement (mickey mouse national) i used to think you were a level headed  /fair guy ,but after reading some of your posts you have went way way down in my book ,and black w/f why have you got (northumberland ) as where you reside but talk about come up here and fly doo's (meaning the north of scotland ) whats that all aboot

i think you must be a sun reader  and believe  everything thats written

i come from Newcastle lived in northumberland   raced in the U N C  moved up to the north of Scotland many years ago   dont believe what you read  in the sun or avators  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think that there is as good a doomen here in the west than any ware in scotland, i bet some of those pigeon men in the south and east would win the national in south/west wind with a few fantails even the guys in ABERDEEN . ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
