I use Impact, I believe it helps against canker also I squeeze a lemon in their drinking water during spells of damp weather.

Its rare I use multivits and don’t give them electrolytes. I aim to give them at least five days a week plain drinking water.

I use a single cap full of cider vinegar to 6 litres of water every day. I will not put anything in the drinking water normally because it can reduce the amount that they will drink. And I feel that it is vital that pigeons drink all they need.

During the times when I have to treat for Paratyphoid, I obviously have to. But never during racing and training.

I Guy I know was bragging about the beautiful droppings his pigeons were producing. No wonder, they had not been drinking much due to the sh-- that he was always putting in their water.

The only time I normally put anything in the birds drinking water is on race day. They come home to cider vinegar & honey in it; I usually change this on race night & the following day for crushed fresh garlic.

I read somewhere that cider vinegar should be given regular for it to be of any advantage to our pigeons, something like 3 to 5 times a week, mine get it about four depending on whether I can remember I also give them garlic as and when, more than likely with the vinegar, again raeding that garlic should be crushed under water because as soon as air come into contact with it it looses the allicin which does the trick.

My one cap of cider vinegar is about 20 litres to 6 litres. This works out at about 3 ml to 1 lt. (I believe in a little and very often). I forgot to say, that after I use the antibiotics for Paratyphoid in October, I follow this up with multi Vits for a couple of days and them Lugols Iodine (Aquesious in the Chemists), for a couple of days. My birds have loads of fresh air and sunshine and they get a mixture of fresh minerals every day. The youngsters get fresh mineral mix twice every day. The Apple Cider Vinegar contains lots of natural vitamins and minerals that are a product of the deep rooted tree drawing them up from the soil. And as the cider is not treated with heat the water soluble vitamins remain in tact.

The birds, both young and old, treat the mineral mix almost like food and will eat loads of it every time it is put down fresh. It must be working because I have only recently had the Cocks out for exercise and already they are flying like Tipplers. Very high and with lots of energy.

One clove fresh garlic per gallon once a week, 1 tablespoon cider vinegar to 1 gallon water once a week and multi vits once a week. Plain water the other four days.
