ovy1255 Posted January 3, 2021 Report Posted January 3, 2021 Had a whisper that our old transporters have not got Euro six engines and won’t be allowed abroad?Could this be channel racing put on hold ,anyone heard anything?
yeboah Posted January 4, 2021 Report Posted January 4, 2021 Yes believe that is true Reason why transporter firms selling up 🤔
Roland Posted January 4, 2021 Report Posted January 4, 2021 Wouldn't expect any favours whatsoever from France. that's for sure is a certainty. Maybe will go east again. Golly new names at the top and 'Many tears from those that have had a great location. Would loved to have seen/had a race from Moscow. yes Rom was good... but too hot on the da. Good returns though overall. Then was very surprised of how many all of a sudden turned up on the 17th day. Why!
DJWa Posted January 4, 2021 Report Posted January 4, 2021 Had a whisper that our old transporters have not got Euro six engines and won’t be allowed abroad?Could this be channel racing put on holed ,anyone heard anything? the fact that all animals have to be checked by a vet before crossing intoanother part of Europe will be the biggest hurdle , nothing to do with Brexit its a European directive and includes any animal crossing from france to germany Belgium to france, uk to france , uk to Belgium etc etc ,
Roland Posted January 4, 2021 Report Posted January 4, 2021 Yes DJWa true. Simple law for all countries is that they have the 'Right' to protect their own borders or shore.
alex young Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 Dianne Bonney transported the Merseyside Fed but has now finished she has sold a transporter to a fed member. He's put out a land programme which is 12 inland races for the old birds, any channel racing will have to be arranged and will fall on a land race.
Roland Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 We here always had club races besides the channel ones on same day.
alex young Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 We here always had club races besides the channel ones on same day.We have in the past Roland but found the channel races badly supported with the land race on the same day. The inland race on the same day was dropped with the hope it would improve birdage for the channel.
Roland Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 A shame that Alex, But understand that it was no viable then.
bibendium Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 Easy answer is that we all share what transportation is available and fit for purpose.
Roland Posted January 5, 2021 Report Posted January 5, 2021 WHAT! and get cheaper transportation.... deprive the 'Rip Off' merchants easy money. indeed for years these so called transporters, have taken our money without any thought, whatsoever, in regards the grass roots of our so- called sport. Plus instead of the transporters being idle for many weeks in 'Race season'!

Roland Posted January 6, 2021 Report Posted January 6, 2021 (edited) A lot cheaper if One takes two or more other's pigeons. Now that is a fact. But then, like I say, why should they, or need to when making a fine profit without another pleasing aspect to the 'Pigeon fraternity' eh! Yes, i do like Peter Pandy. Talks a lot of sense, and reality ... Like me lol :emoticon-0136-giggle: Edited January 6, 2021 by Roland
