Andy , I see no indication of double standards in any of the previous posts. You claim there is an anti ETS brigade within the ranks of this forum , correct , I am one of them and no doubt there is a lot more out there somewhere. I have reservations about the system and I am not afraid to express my views, however credit is given where it is due, in my instance , this goes to my local club secretary in his perserverance and successful application for a grant. Why the club chose to go for ETS was decided at a meeting I wasn't present at , I have no gripes about this , the reason for my absense was we were attending a national presentation collecting silverware.... believe me much more fun indeed ;D Just because a cheque is being waved around in front of my nose it doesn't make me an ETS supporter, far from it...... One of our local clubs has just recently been awarded £5000 for ETS A big well done goes to our secretary ;D

Used their range a few years ago , the end result was an empty wallet with nothing to show for. A total waste of time and money.....

Not sending any at all this weekend , they are better in their sheds.....

It depends on how desperate you are for a win , if in doubt leave em out , a pigeon's welfare comes first every time for us

Good point superleeds , I am in the process of building a new loft at the moment , I intend to let the wooden sections sit outside for a few months to allow them to weather before they are assembled. Just to give the resins and glues a chance to fizzle out Chris

Our Bauwens birds are the nearest we have got to establishing an all round family. We have had winners from 40 miles out to national wins at 560 miles. They are certainly not sprinters as they would win once in a blue moon from those races but once they hit the 250 mile mark they are ready for the challenge.... Yeah , Mike is quite right about the Laeremans birds , from our own experience they are super birds and they do a hell of a lot of damage out to 200 miles, get them out to 250+ miles and they will struggle....
