  1. Hope they show up soon Andy
  2. Andy, you are right mate, I disagree on this one Happy Birthday though Federations shouldn't dictate which route the Scottish nationals fly from. Personally I am for the west racepoints, I am still hurting from a bad Reims race 3 years ago when most of the convoy got lost in Holland /Germany / China, the perils of the east racepoints and west winds is all too evident :-/ As for Falaise..... I love Falaise
  3. Happy Birthday mate.... ya old un
  4. Well said mate, pleased someone noticed, our national races are getting shorter. Andrezel is 510 miles to shortest flier I think.
  5. Distnce races, as you all know, are for the creme de la creme
  6. The Kilwinning dooman is ever so excited Stevie
  7. Like it or not, feds going along with national clubs is here to stay. Solway Fed have been going with the SNFC to the last channel race for years now, 2004 rings a bell
  8. An overwhelming 'yes' in the poll as expected. My conclusion is sprint and long distance youngsters can be managed differently. Youngsters deemed for long distance racing needn't be hammered in their year of birth, if that means no racing so be it as long as they are well schooled from a numerous challenging training regime. One huge plus is they will not be exposed to the perils of the transporter such as catching ybs etc. I keep using Dennis Anderson as an example as he has had another great year in the SNFC. Another good friend of mine who I regard as the best long distance flyer in the NFC seldomly races his youngsters either.....
  9. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  10. Can someone explain what this topic is about please :-/

  13. We know who you are Redrocket ;)
  14. Guys and Girls Just wondering what your own thoughts are regarding young bird racing. Is it essential to race them or not. There is plenty pros and cons here My friend Dennis Anderson comes up trumps every year in the nationals, he never races young birds other than a young bird national which is their first race if he has his sights set on averages
  15. ?????????? :-/ What's up
  16. Seems more birds home in the west from Lillers than Falaise
  17. Aye, spot on Derek, Ralston also three in 8)

  20. Not many folk using the libline service to recrd their arrivals :-/
  21. Top quality fancier is Peter
  22. The first birds will be timed in the Eyemouth end
  23. The Falaise distances are mind boggling My SNFC distance is 445 miles yet my RPRA one is 439 miles Which one is correct :-/
  24. A very poor statement here The LSC is one of the strongest clubs in Scotland.... pure fact. The creme de la creme of West Scotland fly in it and it is run to perfection
  25. He is a grand lad...... just his fitba team is his bad point
