  1. Exactly, this is just the point I was trying to point out months ago. For all we love national racing we seem to cram it all in a short space of time... why
  2. Top flying Frank, remember that pop in to Eastriggs one day
  3. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D 8)
  4. Well done my big pal
  5. There's a nuclear plant between Eastriggs & Annan, done us guys no harm over the years, besides, its paid my wages for the last 21 years
  6. Bill Pirie 5.09
  7. Best of luck everyone Our fridge is well stocked up
  8. What did I tell ya
  9. In 2000 we entered our first one loft type race, it was run by Nigel Cowood. At that time One Loft racing was something new. It was a great experience, one difference was we were sent MNFC rings which were obviously in Nigel's name. The main race was the first of the two MNFC young bird nationals then the second one from Picauville was optional which followed up by another Picauville the week after with the Nothern Claasic. This whole set up was limited to about 100 - 150 birds and money wasn't the main focus unlike todays events, it was just enjoyment following your birds progress, our entry was duly returned following a successful campaign and ended up in the breeding shed. The birds were raced / trained in his club / federation then with MNFC & Northern Classic, there was no politics, hassle, bickering etc then so whats changed now........ money !!!
  10. Nothing strange about it. There is nothing wrong with healthy competition, the stronger the better as it will improve your own peformances in the long run. Far too many people now days chickening out when it comes to competing against large numbers.
  11. Keep an eye open in this week's BHW, there will be an auction selling Spangles
  12. Dont see what the problem is, the more competition the merrier
  13. They trap and get fed in their own section. No probs Frank, pop down for a peek one day
  14. Its a doddle Frank. The boxes are like small nest box size with one half covered with plywood which gives them that shaded privacy. One the hens have had their feed / water I open a large gate and they pop in their own box then I close the gate again, no catching required.
  15. Our hens are locked in boxes. They are basically deep perches with a big gate to lock them in, they are also shaded
  16. Still waiting ??) ??)
  17. Solway Fed, 8-45am at Stafford
  18. Billy Van Nuil from Gretna is the man John Hodgson about 6th Section
  19. It is the fancier to blame for latebreds not standing up, they need just the same amount of due care and attention in the winter months as the what the early bred youngsters get in the spring / summer.
  20. I would like to congratulate the race controlling and convoying teams, they all done a great job. Well done guys We sent 2, got 1
  21. Well done Sandy, a top quality fancier
  22. I reckon the winner will be in Eastriggs...... a good clubmate of ours
  23. Simply cannot believe the poor taste still within Scotland regarding us having 2 national clubs. As I have already mentioned we are members of both and intend to be for years to come, some old farts harping about sitting on fences and mickey mouse this & that will not deter me from enjoying the sport and wanting to win more nationals Bring em on I am amazed some on here are slagging off the care of the SNRPC pigeons on Thursday / Friday gone. The SNRPC convoyer is quite simply the best in the business, I have always had utmost confidence in our pigeons welfare when in his hands, after all got 100% returns from Wanstead Flats This is the same guy who was the SNFC convenor not that long ago.... remember the Falaise 2 race in 2004 People have short memories. Anyway GOOD LUCK EVERYONE !!!!!!!
  24. Realisticaly what do you all think the earliest possible liberation time will be tomorrow
  25. ??) ??) We are members of both nationals and that will continue
