From the Code of Conduct: http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1199732139/ - Content which has been removed by a member of forum staff should not be republished - Members should not act as "back seat moderators." If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of forum staff by using the "report to webmaster" function

It'll be because something listed in here: http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/b-rules/ has been broken.

What a sorry charade. Spencer you have requested myself and (it would seem - I have not yet spoken to her) Rose to remove the posts from this topic that you deem 'irrelevant'. Indeed there are some postings aimed at you and posted by you of late that would be on unsteady ground concerning the code of conduct, however I am not prepared to shield you from the charade that it would seem that you have created here. If this charity auction was at any time anything to do with this website or a charity of my choosing I would have posted up that this was the case. :Of worthy note: This topic is now the merged contents of a number of topics regarding the same subject.

If Spencer wishes to offer this pair I shall take the bids by PM.

I'll give this one a go See similarly named topic

This idea was born here. If you would like to partake, please reply to this topic with the following details. Race Distance and Racepoint for Saturday 3rd May 2008 Wether you are a North Road or South Road fancier From that I'll try and organise the hat to pick out similar distances for people Please post your details before 6pm on Friday. I will get the list up asap after then. You'll be put in a group of 2 or 3 people (depending on numbers), the highest velocity in the group knocks the others out. The birds must race on the same day; if you choose not to send, or there is a holdover (unless both lofts fly Sunday etc) I'm afraid thats KO All for a bit of fun, lets see how it runs :)

Welcome to Pigeonbasics PeggySue. Hope you get the two cocks home

Thats my problem fifer a problem that doesnt replicate on every persons computer although their using IE6 :-/ - and it's not like the error message IE6 give is very clear :X Not because the smilies dont work; but for the general security of your computer against viruses, cross-site-scripting attacks, malware, etc, etc I urge everyone with IE6 to upgrade to IE7 (through Windows Update) or Firefox http://www.getfirefox.com Plus the huge amount of new features that both IE7 and Firefox have over IE6; tabbed browsing (no more multiple windows open!), phishing filters, and auto spell checker Oh the overlapping should have ceased now ;D ;D ;D

Could anyone with IE6 tell me if the smilies are now working?

The new look for Pigeonbasics is now here; we are aware that there have been a few bugs with still one or two issues outstanding (layout issues). You may also have noticed the reorganisation of some of the boards. Racing Pigeons became a Category with the subsections; - General (this is where the posts from the old one were moved to) - Race Day (this is for all liberations, weather, etc) - Old Birds (topics about racing old birds) - Young Birds (topic about racing young birds) - Ideas & Theories (moved board from the front page) The following top level boards have been added also; Breeding, and Introductions. The 'Notice Board' will now serve the purpose it was implemented for; - if you are unsure on which board to post, you can post to the Notice Board - however be aware that a moderator may move the topic to the relevant board on their first or subsequent visit (a redirect link will be left). - all topics posted to the Notice Board will be assessed if they would be better categorised under another heading, and may be moved, but we will leave a redirect link on the Notice Board The final change to report for now is that Chit-Chat is back. However it is only accessible by 'Subscribing' to it. That means if you have not subscribed you will not see any of the boards or topics on the Portal or anywhere else on the site. If you have subscribed topics will be shown in the Portal and you will have full access to the boards. You can unsubscribe at any time, and rejoin at any time (the required links are under 'Members Only'). As of now; all non-pigeon related topics posted to Notice Board (or anywhere else) will be removed from the forum. If you wish to partake in Chit-Chat, please subscribe and post such topics only to that board. The forum Code of Conduct and other rules, are wholly applicable to the Chit-Chat section.

Rules: What Not To Do
Webmaster replied to Webmaster's topic in The Rules & How to Sell on Pigeonbasics
Signatures & Avatars Any signature image must be no wider than 500 pixels. Signature sizes and animations must be reasonable. Avatar animations must be reasonable The administrators reserve the right to remove or modify any signature or avatar which: - breaches the general forum rules - contains unreasonable animations - is unreasonably large or otherwise inappropriate This decision will be made on a case-by-case basis and is non-negotiable. -
There'll be a fix soon enough Anyhow can't delete what pays the bills :-/ :)

What are the links/addresses to the pages that throw 404's? There is an automatic redirect from the old address; http://www.pigeonbasics.com/forum/blah/ to the new address http://forum.pigeonbasics.com (update your bookmarks/favourites )
-
It's the same for 'Reporting Threads', if a guest clicks it they get an error message saying they should be logged in if they want to do that :)

The 'bots' Adsence, Googlebot, Yahoo Bot... etc are just computers that crawl the internet taking an index for their search engine. Only Adsence is slightly different - it crawls a page to 'understand' what that page is about, in order to display relevant adverts (panel on right) to the content that is on that page. The bots follow most links given on a page, regardless of their human meaning, so you might see 'Googlebot replying to xx topic' however that just means that it has gone to that page (anyway it would be shown an error message on that page to tell it that it cant post a reply )
