This morning I made a change that fixes one of the reasons that the page gets forced wide. But the ghosting is an issue that I'm still looking into - but it should happen on fewer pages now
-
Thanks for that Dovescot, does that happen for you on every page or just specific instances? (Doesnt happen that I can see with my IE7)

The 'file too big' will refer to the size in megabytes of the file. If you've got a photo editing program; open the photo in that, and use the resize function - photos need not be more than 600 pixels wide for the web (digital cameras often take them with widths of 1,000-2,000+ pixels). Then use the 'save for web' or 'save as' function and make sure its saved as a 'jpg', 'jpeg' and compression of something around 80.

If clicking them doesnt work, until I find a solution, the codes are; ;D > :'( :X :-/ :B 8) :K) : ??) Type those into your message reply and a smilie will appear when it's posted. (They're written in order that they appear in the box to the left.)

IE6 is the bane of my life :-/ ;D I'll see what I can do

The forum time is always GMT, it's us that have moved to BST so need to change the settings under the 'Member Center' as described in that post
-
Are you on IE6 by any chance? :'( :'(

If your clock is out (anyone) follow the advice in this post.

See this post for the 'new PM' notification, or as the_fifer said there is an option to have a pop up box to notify you when you have unread PMs.
-
Could you do a screen shot of the smilies (or lack of)? Attached is what I see

Just updated a fix for the half screen issue. You may need to refresh your browser to see the effects (Press 'F5').

Everything works hunky dory in Firefox, and Safari ;D No seriously if you want a safer time surfing the web, download Firefox. More info: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features.html I've fixed the small bug that Dovescot mentions above - sounds like Rose and some others had it too (Internet Explorer 7). Superstar and jakjak, it sounds like you have Internet Explorer 6, and good news is that I have replicated the problem - so a fix should be imminent. But honestly for security of your computer, and other browsing problems either run 'Windows Update' (under 'Start - All Programs') and get version 7. Or better still go to the link above and download and start using Firefox

See attached pic for the showing new PMs. Superstar; Is that Internet Explorer 6? I'll find a computer with it on and do some tests

Regarding 'half screen'. Check the attachment to this reply. If your screen doesnt look like that, please post a screen shot (Press Shift-PrtScrn and then paste into Paint).

A huge thank you to Mick McGrevy who has offered a second pair of birds in this case. I have PMd you all to let you know. My apologies again, and thanks to Mick.

I can only apologise and inform you both that I am doing everything I can to resolve the situation. Last night I received a bid by Casbri at 8:26pm through an email. The list was duely updated slightly later. I received a telephone bid at 8:55pm from jimmydoo. The list was updated during this time, but somehow the bid at 8:55 was missed. The lot along with many others was marked closed at approx 9:20pm. All I can say is that at 9pm we were inundated with PMs and telephone calls; and somewhere along the line the transfer from notepad to computer this bid went astray. This is wholly my fault. I will be again in touch with the members involved as soon as I can.

Leatherhead is a very small liberation site, can't comment on the others mentioned, but perhaps a bigger lib is what you're looking for.

Just a quick note to let you know that 'Flight of Memory - The Scottish Homing Union 1907 - 2007' is available in the Pigeonbasics Shop now. And a heads up on... There will be a very limited number of Jack Barkel's books 'The Hidden Mysteries of Nature and Science' and 'The Modern Guide to Eye-sign and Breeding', on there soon.

BBC News have taken the story. Different angle, emphasising it could be a rival fancier :-/ http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/7288754.stm

Does anyone know Mr Williams? If they do, or know a club near by, please let him know of the fund. Devastating to read
