The biggest on cost will be the birdage and the training.Pools are optional and the way things are going it would be worthwile just racing for prize money.

We put through a blender peanuts/redband and hormoform anf feed it 90% 10days before any national race. Can you let us know where you can puchase good/sound yellow maize.

Frank You would need to start the season with around 30 Old Birds from two year olds and upwards and there would be no point in puting them on the Darkness. And at the end of the Season you will be lucky to count in one hand the ones that have scored in National Racing which goes back to my theory of 98% Shi-te in every Loft in the country. All the best in 2009

The ideal time to let them out is around mid-day.If the feeding is right and they are healthy they should be able to fly for around two hours. When they drop get them in (keep them on 1 ounce )and get them back on the darkness around 5.00pm.

Breeding birds from unknown racing ability
budgie replied to Speckled Jim's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
Depending on how long they have been of the road i would tread carefully. If they have been of for a couple of seasons and there will be stock pigeons amongst them i would check with the previous owner. If in doubt take 1 round of youngsters (no late breds) and give them every race including the Young Bird National.Check whats left after the racing, keep the parents and bin the rest (regardless of the cost) and remember the 98% sh-ite rule. -
With Blackpool now past was your expections high regarding the Quailty on offer and the prices fair and how many pre-potent pairs did you buy.

Just a last reminder of the Entire Clearance Sale on Behalf of the late Wee Jimmy Murphy tommorrow in Newmains Flying Club Birds on view 1pm -- Sale will start 2pm. Not to be missed the wee man spent a fortune on obtaining the best Roland Janssen and Staff Van Reets (Pallatt-Mardon Lines) and took us all to the cleaners in the early races in the Newmains Flying Club which we were competing against 1000 birds each week. God Bless You Wee Man and Rest in peace Sadly Missed Budgie

In the End we will only need our New Geraldy Transporter for 15 Weeks of the year and this was the reason for looking at the trailer option and hiring a unit / driver. ;)

If its International what is wrong with the English being invited.

With the race programme now being decided by the S.N.F.C what race do we use for our Channel Race.Ypres on the 3rd July (which would be my preference to give fanciers the time to educate their youngsters) or Falaise on 17th July. May i take this opportunity to congratulate the newly elected Officials and Management Commitee within the New Scottish National Flying Club and all the best for the oncoming season. The only post that does not seam to be taken is that of the PRO which i hope they approach the greatest scribe to-date the wee man fom Kircaldy Joe Murphy.

How many fanciers just change their water without rinsing and would you consider washing them out daily with hot water .If your wife gave you the same mug every day without cleaning it would you drink from it.If we have problems the first thing most of us head for is the drinkers. And on another note how many fanciers before they pair up can be bothered to disinfect and pressure wash the complete loft.It makes some mess but on completion you will be pleasantly surprised at how clean your floor is and the crap that has been build up over the years finally removed. ;)

Redrocket its time you were landing on the Moon. After disscussions with your Loft Manager today when we discussed the problems of the World you are getting the bullet from James Wendy and AULD Jock.

After over 114 years of racing pigeons into Scotland what have we learned regarding Politicians.Lets go back down memory lane when our fore fathers laid the foundations way back in 1894. They would now turn in their Grave with the dis- harmony and the split with two organizations.Lets re-unite and forget our differances and be the One Great Club we once were. Its all about the gallant pigeons that home from France and the Doo Men who wait their return. One day we will all be Re-United. Budgie
