  1. Its obivious from the tone of the replies that their is no communication between Office Bearers as one is confirming that if the weather had been good on the Saturday it would not have mattered as we had no drivers and the other is claiming we were driverless for the Sunday.Hire drivers as quoted by Homer start talking to one another and stop making Lanarkshire the laughing stock of the Pigeon World. :(
  2. Robert as you quote be gid tae yur doos on your last thread you wer gonny send them anyway.
  3. Well lads and after consulting a host of Lanarkshire members today the descision in the eyes of most to cancell the race was correct and give the Office Bearers credit when it is due. However the next important step and for the benifit of the youngsters is how we complete the programme. After various discussions and subject to favourable conditions over the next three weeks would be Otterburn,WiltonCastle (Duplication Race) and to give us a bit of distance prior to the Young Bird National Ripon.I am quite sure that an Emergency meeting will be called for and hopfully the delegates will take on board the wishes of all their members and not be pushed into a corner by dictatorship. :)
  4. Thanks for your positive approach my concearn is that youngsters dont drink in the baskets.Last week our Federation held over to the sunday we had good returns but when some of the youngsters droped they looked as if they had flown 500miles.This was down to dehydration .Day on Begasol and 1 Vitaboli (b12) capsule and to pardon the punch thay are right as Rain. Take Care without a good team of yearlings times get hard.
  5. Met Office reports for this weekend dont look promising. With unsettled rain and showers( some very heavy) on saturaday the only chance may be sunday morning depending which racepoint you are at as the North East of England area into the Central Belt is very dodgy.Lanarkshire are at Otterburn but all the signs look like another Kelso which is unaviodable with moderate visibility and 13 mph NNE winds its no a good weekend for racing doos. :(
  6. Being a newbie can someone explain why members should have the authority or the resoning behind threads being locked bearing in mind the General Board is anything pigeon related.
  7. Alf yer right well just need tae book a couple of double decker buses the same as they did last year.
  8. Cowley iwould call them Office Bearers and keep in mind what happened to Wee Andy Durning.
  9. If we keep going back tae Kelso every week we could be racing till Christmas.
  10. With regards to the attached and further to discussions with a whole load of disatified Lanarkshire members did the doos reach Otterburn on Satuarday.
  11. Thanks Alf for the attached i missed the post.Dont you think the committe members should get a say in race points bearing in mind we could have raced this morning from Otterburn.Any how the Doos are up at Kelso ( Again) at 10.15am West Wind Good Luck to everone and hope returns are good.
  12. If its raining in Kelso whats the weather like in Otterburn and why are the fanciers being told tae call back after 9.30am.Still nae explanation as tae why they were moved in the first place and what will happen to the Duplication Race next week .
  13. Could the members of Lanarkshire have a explanation as to why we are sitting at Kelso this morning and not Otterburn . There is no differance in the weather conditions and for the well being of these youngsters they should be away.Weather conditions and visability in the Motherwell area are fine. :o
  14. How the Lanakshire can move to Kelso tommorow is way beyond me .Otterburn tommorow isnae the problem its the hame end.Whits going to happen next week with our open race .Same as last year and we Andy got hammered for similar desicions.
  15. Wae other feds away at Otterburn is Lanarkshire liklely tae get a race and will it stand.
  16. With the North East and Lothian Borders showing 12mile S/West winds and sunshine the only dodgy area is Strathclyde (the hame end) are the doos at the racepoint.Bearing in mind Sundays no much better and the Pigeon Navigation is showing/jumping between Green/Yellow which represents Caution.
  17. Lanarkshire fed are at Otterburn pigeon navagation for sat morning looks good would be adviseable to go early with the soth west wind.Nae chance on sunday.
  18. Try Ornispecial with WN from Belgica De Weerd both are first class products and are on page 167 Brittish Homing World
  19. Rain should be clear by 9.00am with a liberation therafter.Biggleswade pigeons should go around 9.45am all racing into the West section of the National and hopefully the positions are equally split. The Dont care atitude is irresponible and the people making these comments should not be holding these positions or any other posts within their orginisations.Good luck to the convoyer and race controllers as to date and particular Lanarkshire the decisions have been fantastic considering the weather conditions at the start of the season.

    SNFC

:)Forecast for this coming week is almost due North. We were thinking of sending yearlings but with our fed at Biggleswade and this wind it may be prudent to send some of the auld campaingers.

    snfc huntingdon

Good luck to all the Fanciers who are away to the SNFC young bird national. The pigeon navigation forcast is excellente and is showing Green and with the 6-8 mile north wind should be a hard but fair race. Budgie
