Gloucester Fed are taking 2hrs 26mins to do 149miles and at that rate there will be pigeons into Scotland tonight earlier than we predict. :-/ :-/( 10.30mins) :-/ :-/.And lets not forget yesterday,s race from Tarbes when the race conditions were similar and they were timing pigeons into York 748 miles on the night.

Tours pigeons were liberated at 8.45am L.W.S.W in ideal conditions with the Winds in London 20mls, Manchester 13mls,York 12mls turning to E,S,E, Carlise 14mls S.E and finally Strathclyde almost due East. At 45 mph into the Central Belt pigeons ,with a bit of luck will be timed around the 10.00pm mark.Good luck and can we keep the thread updated on any arrivals.May i also at this time congratulate G.Rankin & Son on winning the Lanarkshire Social Circle from Alencon with their Mealy Cock flying 533 miles with a velocity of 961 and to the 9 remaining members left competing for the Gold Cup. The birdage is made up of Region A/73,B/59,C/47,D/12,E/95,F/1,and G/13 total 300birds. :(

Lanarkshire Fed at Appleby no word till after 11.15am.Reading between the lines looking dodgy.Visibilty here in the Motherwell area is not so good.

Scottish National at Alencon are still hopefull of a Mid Day Liberation no word till after 1.00pm

Lanarkshire has cleared up visibilty good 15 mile wsw/wind and the Pigeon Navigation is in the Green (safe).Looking at the forecasts if the S.N.F.C at Alencon dont go soon the home end tommorow is suicide.

Scottish National Flying Club at Alencon no word until after 10.30am over cast at race point and mist on the channel.Lets hope it lifts.

Well done to Big Geordie and Gareth in taking the Top Honour of Winning The Henderson Trophy for being 1st West Sect 1st Open 1794 birds in the Lanarkshire Fed race from Cheltenham with there Cheq Hen doing a velocity 1110 from a distance of 278 miles .Congratulations also must go to our hard working secretary/treasurer Davy McCaig of the L.S.C in winning the Centre Section and that man fae Bunkle Tam Richardson winning the East Section and also 3rd,4th,and 11th on what was a very testing race. ;) ;)Well done.

Pigeon Navigation Multi-Day Forecast unsetteled for 14th June luckily and (with the numbers that are left) Lanarkshire Fed are only at Appleby 100mls and the met forecast showing another North East it should be a good toss for the Longest inland race next week from Wincanton 335 mls and Eastbourne with the S.N.F.C which is around 400mls and is well out of the Line of flight for the oncoming channel races. With regards to Barts comments it would have been more cost effective to have went with the National and duplicated back into the Fed and the same on our next coast race Wincanton/Eastboune.One set doos and the saving on training and time would be benificial to all parties.Food for thought next year. :-/ :-/ :-/

Returns in Newmains not so good well below 50% and a few members not timing in.Best time is that man Fae Bonkle Thomas Richardson who will be 1st,2nd and 3rd timing at 2.42,15.03 and 15.04.Well done and all the best for next week. :)
