  1. Hi Gareth, They are all members of the mustelid family as are the Polecat, Pine marten and the Otter, also the ferret, They are a major pest to poultry and pheasant keepers but will kill a lot of wildlife including most small mammals and clear birds nests, the only good thing I can think about them is they are great rat catchers
  2. I don't think the return of fox hunting would be an advantage, maybe the opposite, less foxes more food available
  3. The mink is not a British mammal, many were released by the "do gooders" when there were mink farms in the UK, they have no protection from hunting and are classed as vermin, some areas they are trapping them as they also hunt in water and are responsible for the demise of the water vole, hope you manage to trap it
  4. A last one from me, Blondie

    I Resign

See what happens when you pack in the birds and have all that spare time
  11. You always win
  12. That must have been a hard decision to make and I appreciate your reasons as I had to make the choice myself 27yrs ago, I was going to say I hope you keep a few old favourites but then when I do a head count on mine probably not a good move, staying on site is a good move and look forward to your posts as usual
  13. Got them, please don't ask me to list them
  14. Here you go John http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dickin_Medal
  15. I still have to do mine Brian
  16. Good post Phil, I haven't raced other than One Lofts for years so I can't help on the ETS question but I think being there to catch and time was a big buzz
  17. Moulting is a purely natural happening not a medical condition, mine only require extra rations to grow the new suit
  18. Nice job Paul, the ones from Leefe come with bracket and are removable with pull out wings
  19. Brechfa Forest, 18,000 acres of woodland starts a few 100yds. from me, perfect habitat for Gos and Sparrow Hawks, I see them most days but my open loft mob still survive, with a little help now and again
  20. I have 40 on permanent open loft and don't have too much of a problem but my other 40 odd who come out occasionally are much more likely to get hit, I tend to stay out with them

  24. Hi Neil, welcome to the site, There are a lot of kilt wearing, sporan danglers on here but don't let that put you off, they're a good bunch of lads, as you've had the long-dogs you will know that condition for racing is everything and don't be tempted to over-stock, ask away on here they are a really helpful mob
