    Budget

I'm English but live in Wales, I wouldn't consider leaving the UK because I think we are the UK when together, once any country leaves it will no longer be the UK

    In Hospital

Good luck to you both, looks like another big Pete to me
  3. You reminded me of a club mate many years ago that fed farm tic beans only the whole year round, huge great things and his weaned youngsters ate them, I'm sure mine would have starved, his results at National level were great
  4. Have seen youngsters testing seeds but old birds seem to go straight for what they want
  5. Out of interest, what sense do you think the birds use to choose seeds, with us I'm sure sight and smell play a part but taste must be our main source of choice, the birds obviously don't taste as they pick up and swallow so must be sight or smell I guess, what's your thoughts?
  6. Good Walter, sounds like a few dream pairings there, hope you have another great season
  7. Three penalties against United in one game at home, I't never happened in Fergies day
  8. Good Brian, she looks warm in the sun

    Old Rings

What a great find, young Jack will be well pleased, my wife dug up a 1987 ring of mine recently and I was chuffed
  18. There was a similar post from Owen only last week where he said he had a Rd youngster in the nest from a Bl. Ch. x Bl. with no reds in the section and no family history, as you say you'd feel a bit Iffy advertising them.

    Fly Aways

Mik, When I last raced I won the club y/b average every year and the Fed averages most years, young birds that range well cover vast miles, this taking them a few miles up the road and kidding yourself you have trained them is a nonsense

    Fly Aways

Not if you have the right birds, It's the birds without a good racing brain that cause problems and there are a lot of them out there

    Fly Aways

Much the same as Walter, when I interfere, which is pretty late in the season, I have sent them with no training at all other than basket training for drinkers etc.

    Fly Aways

Good post Walter, pretty much the same as me, My youngsters always range well and are gone for an hour or two, I don't start training while they are doing this as I can't see any gain. When they are ranging well I give them a light feed early morning and let them out and they are gone, I hate telling newcomers this as the scribes say this is what causes fly-away's but it's never happened to me in 50yrs. plus. I agree with Walter on not giving first toss a few miles up the road, when they are ranging well they cover many miles, 10mls. would be my minimum and it would be morning, the earlier the better giving them all day to get it right
