I have raced pigeons most of my life and this year has been the worst ybird training season I have ever experienced I know that there is a bop nest 5 miles down the coast from us and 10 miles further down so two I know of anyway this year training from same place montrose first toss scattered dropped 14 one back ripped open but will survive second toss montrose again scattered dropped 5 one reported dead from the shu and where was it found stcyrus beach bop site our birds are homing on line but are getting attacked and chased all over the sky. our first race yesterday we have 7/29 so looks like we won't be feeding percy the rest of this season. I am thinking of packing the birds in just doesn't seem to be worth the hard work

I have been having the same problems we've droped 19 in two tosses and only had them 10 miles to Montrose , in all the years I have kept doos never had this before , I don't know if there is another pair of you now what moved in to the area . I'm sick of this just about ready to pack it in

Feel for you boys in the north I fly from Gourdon it's between montrose and Stonehaven. We were fortunate enough to get birds on the day. I feel the same as you why lib at that time

Got a bird reported in Cleveland that was at Portsmouth so we contacted the fancier. Who tells us that the bird came into him about 5ish on Sunday. Bloody bird must of been up with the first birds. He said it was a foul night and he was surprised that birds were timed on the night. Any way he threw her up today and she's home

Totally agree with you Owen . I found I had a red mite problem this year I found myself checking every youngster in the nest every second day . I dealt with them and found this was prob the reason for the young birds not performing in past seasons . This years youngsters have won us every race but one and topping the angus fed flying on the east coast . I will be paying more attention how clean the loft is from now on

trained 44 . Had 38 to race finished up with 27 and a great season

Best y/bird season I have had and I have 26/44 never ever can I remember having so much left at the end of a season all the time spent on training has paid off

Got 2 this morning one from the first race and the other from last week all home yesterday so u could say 8 / 6

Today when we were watching for the young birds coming from arniston a yearling hen that we got on the maidstone nat result this year turned up , what a plesant surprise she had been hawked on the back and her under side is still black and blue . Its amazing how thes birds still try and get home
