Wasnea havin a pop just pointin out that if they in good nick then has tae be somthing else causin it. Mine have tae gan in the basket at some point for first race and aswednesday was best day yet i gave it a go. Maybe took them too far for first go but have done this 19 miles as first toss as long as a can remeber. You have tae get them fit and always think that a good spin( however long it takes ) does no harm as long as you get them. Cheers

Have you had birds shut up all winter? Could you not give them a start frae say 5 or 6 mile and ease it up frae there?

Mine go out everyday because im frightened they put on weight but some guys up here dont bother and chase them up only after the body moult!!

Who made the decision walter? Was it collective or commitee? The bother I have wae this at national level is, as you pointed out, there can be many weather fronts all around. Us down here would no be affected by weather in the central belt upwards and would be wondering why they arent up. Yes common sense would see a lot of fair minded fanciers do the right thing but there would be others wantin them up. At the end of the day there has to be someone tae make the decisions and probably be unpopular wae somebody. Cheers Steven
