They did mate. I had them in a section that I would use to race from. After the second round I wanted my racers ready and tried tae keep them locked in while i got sorted but that didny work as they battered themselves useless on the nest fronts. Then split the hens in to seperate ends wae widowers and took my eye of the ball. My old bo y let the first yin oot forgetting tae put the hens in aviary then me the next week bendin doon tae put the drinker in when they shot oot over my thick heed. Theres loads o things I could dae. I could clip their wings and let them roam the garden but I would still have two spare cocks in a section doin wot spare cocks do. I could shut them in aviary and see if a could heft them(bearing in mind they have never had their liberty ever). The loft that the two hens went frae has an aviary on it which is open all year roon but they barely circled before disappearin.Its wot to do for the best so this is the path I have chosen but if it needs to change then i will be flexible. My old man would say that they are doin all their flyin at home if 2 hours non stop. Boys in oor clubs that dominate at short distance seem to pay little attention tae exercising roon the loft and prefer tae toss maybe once or twice a week. Others dinny bother at all and leave them to an open hole all day and these fliers usually prosper later in year. Then theres the fanciers like me who go by routine, hour in morn hour at nite.
