  1. I know wot yer sayin. My best yearling this year had a dropped tail feather last year but luckily selections no quite that stringent. All the big winners ave handled ave never seen a poor yin. Just think that if you believe in a certain type o doo and youve bred enough for decent team then why waste time and money on them JMO Cheers steven
  2. John mate Have only got room for fifty younguns. Im kill wot a dinny like ie: the yins wae the tail up when you handle them, bent or bashed keels, snifflers, grunters and non conformists. Been daein this for years. Nae point keepin wot ye dinny like. Cheers steven

  6. I have for sale two Vandenabeele cocks. I purchased these cocks from M & D Evans back end of last year along with two hens. I have bred two rounds each of them and they are obviously untested. The reason for sale is that I have had the pairs as prisoner stock which has driven me mental as not used to it. In the last two weeks both hens from the pair have got out by me so enough is enough. Having just started with the vandenbeeles this year I will probably regret this sale but if I keep them I know the inevitable will happen and they will get out as well. I have included a couple of photos as well as their original peds. Would like £70.00 each. Buyer to arrange collection Cheers Steven

  20. Quite right bigda. When a was a youngun seem tae remember some of the original STBs bein miles fast or slow un givin the clock setter all kinds o heedaches. The twa men who worked oot the velocities were wee Dickie Graham of the show fame and the late great John Carmichael. The backs o clock envelopes were very much tae the fore LOL.
  21. If you were flying 56miles 13yards. It took 1hr 14 mins and 40secs to complete you would multiply 56 by 1760 to convert miles to yards then add the 13 extra yards to give you 98573 total yards flown. Then you need the time in minutes so 74 mins are already known plus the forty seconds which are converted to minutes by dividing 40 by 60 for 0.66. Final calculation is 98573 divided by 74.66 for a velocity of 1320.29. Hope this is correct as this is the way my physics teacher telt me how tae dae it way back in the eighties. If he was wrang then theres been a few false positions in the fechan club until we got the computer software lol. Cheers steven
