  15. Here is the tale Put two rings Su12s59 and 60 on a pencil covered in sellotape. Put them in a envelope to go to Falkirk 5 weeks ago!! My mate gets in touch later to say that he has received an envelope with nowt in it!!!! We put this down to experience and bad postal service!!! Today at a sale in gretna my old boy is approached by fed sec and a cumbrian fancier asking if the two rings in his hand were ours, 59 and 60 duly handed over!!! The rings were found on the sorting office floor at Carlisle where an interested party looked up the RPRA and forwarded the rings to them. The RPRA then sent the rings to an English organisation that had an S on their year who then sent them back to the Solway sec!!!!! Hope my doos get back quicker than the rings????

  18. Heat Lewis! Birds that are overweight heat up the muscles more to lift the body causing muscle burn just like if me and you had a race, 16stone me against 11stone you I would be panting like a blackpool donkey wae giant haystacks on its back!!! Hot weather dehydrates cos of the HEAT built up internally! I am not doubting that stress causes the gaping but there is something else along with the fear?JMO

  21. Is Carlisle and Penrith not the correct flightpath for Lanarkshire on the west route?
  22. The loud bang certainly works for scaring the hawks and falcons but for flaging pigeons????? Could it be that when under stress the heart pumps harder, obviously, hence heating the poor wee buggers heat up until gaping? simple explaination? How do you mean it never occurred to you that the birds wer being attacked? surely you would have seen a sparr attack? Peter your ideas and experiences are very different reading from the norm, well done on yer alternative thinking.
  23. Lost?
  24. Wot was attacking them?
