  1. Dennis anderson in annan does not race every week to the best of my knowledge and gets his turn
  2. 110 mile of sea between belgian coast and great yarmouth(direct line fechan-leige)? Thought we liked short crossings? Nae point in ypres and brussels(380-420) much the same race in my opinionn. Bonn 520 tae fechan,510 to Gretna, is that longest race measurement? I am not fussed which way they want to go but would prefer a more traditional route thru west/central France
  3. We have friends in the Hull area who race from eastern France/Belgium. They live on the coast and say the birds near always return from off the coast unless an east wind is fresh or strong
  4. Is there a Tauris SNFC master node? What happens with the manual clocks? Are they not meant to be struck off with the same master that they wer set with? Or are all the clocks travelling with, and returning, with whoever is delegated to take the birds up? Loads of questions mate. If I was the kind of guy tae bother wae meetings I would like to see Maidstone dropped and maybe two ypres with the gold cup and the longest one. The yb nat????well who knows wots best for that?
  5. Clock set then struck with diffo master? Ets clocks travel with birds? or rung at sect level then transported to central location to be basketed again? is that a security issue Del?
  6. Excellent
  7. I lightly mix it mate. The cat litter takes in the moisture very well
  8. I have metal grills on the floor for the winter Andy. Raised 2" of the floor filled to the top with a mix of dry sharp sand and cat litter. Lasts about three weeks.
  9. Best idea would be to try and aquire a pad second hand. They are not interchangeable sadly. As for the concept............SIMPLY THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD

    Well done Harky
  11. Yip the transport could do with looking at but remeber that the birds were moved in wicker baskets when moses was a boy and the popular consesud was better racing. A move and a tweek with the times perhaps? As regards the history then thats there in the record books. I am 41and not a dinosaur who doesnt want progression but feel that a lot of modern ways may give us problems. Sorry for the off topic. Have admiration for all the snrpc winners but think that the two clubs have coexsisted so far and there are maybe a few plus points and lessons to be learned?
  12. Transportation will always be an issue when you dont have your own but leasing isnt always a bad idea. The snfc brings to the table a proper national steeped in history where winners of their races should feel proud and honoured Many try, many come close but most fail.
  13. Are the snrpc punters no happy with the situation? Do you have membership of both unions vinny?
  14. The races you want to be aiming for are the snfc gold cup and longest race. Thats where the glory is? Dinny get it really . Surely the folk that can race in both choose to do so and the ones that cant or wont dont?
  15. Morning from the dumfries and galloway royal infirmary where it is day 3 of cellulitis arm versus antibiotics!! Ffin seek as a dog
  16. His10 epson will be in the bin shortly mate. Soz walter
  17. So does the brother
  18. Brother laser printers on ebay are the best buy
  19. The meeting shall decide are the key words for me. No at the meeting then not deciding anything. Postal votes could be workable, the org will have a franking machine and to be quite honest' a pretty penny' should be affordable for the org? Security would have to be looked at as well but any bar code scanner would sort that out. There are a couple of threads on here where negative comments really get me down. How can we move on? I do not have time to go to meetings but do like to keep abrest of the information. I have always thought that it might be an idea to get a consensus of the membership on important issues like race points etc, and the only way is postal votes? Even if the ballot was only used as a guide then decided on by a discussion at the meeting?
  20. Walter once threw a stone out his front garden and it hit somebody in LAnarkshire!!!!LOL Its falling to bits already? Maybe there could be a quarter national???
  21. Hows that? Do you think we are illitarate? Or just lazy?
  22. Poor response! Sheep?? *expletive removed* grown ups are we not?? Send out the ballot paper, return it filled in,simples???? no sheep to be seen???
  23. Ye the results show that Stuart, just not sure that its the distance thats giving good returns rather than the direction
  24. Deary fook!!! Ypres??? Distance,DISTANCE you hear them cry, thats what sorts the men frae the boys?????? Ypres 380miles tae the fechan Stuart?? Nobody I have spoken to has a problem in the south wae the short race frae Ypres. Handy for the yearlings you wish to test? Dont think secta has such a bad record from it either? Think we would like to see a return to the traditional west cos thats the route our birds are on but if thats not pos then we will have to race from whereever the popular opinion takes us. Give another 5years and we can have the meeting in a phone box at the end of the presidents street
  25. Dundee is too far for me Doug, the people who want the say will make the journey to Dundee I am sure, but no me
