  1. Stevie, giving all these fact without any proof means they are only your opinion. Am I able to trust your opinion? Are you full of sh**? Now if it is the latter perhaps you have YBS. This would mean it is a zoonoose. Have you any facts to support we are able to catch YBS? Should I wear a mask? Should you wear a mask? I hope you are able to follow this because I would like you to sum it all up in a recap please. :D
  2. Good morning all.

  9. Thank goodness it was just these four nests it happened to, if it had been the whole end I would have been reading this all day. :D Been oot cleaning the loft and got something nasty stuck to his fingers. :D
  10. Good morning all.
  11. Stevie, that problem has been raised at SHU Council. I am sure Linda complained about the quality. If I am correct, the following year they were minimally smaller internally on one side (slight coning effect) and again a complaint was lodged. I think they have been OK since then.
  12. The SNFC took a lot of convincing to leave the Irish route in favour of going south. I don't think there will be any chance of them ever going back that way now. Keep trying Danny, you never know.
  13. Good morning all.
  14. Welcome back Danny. The pilgrims have found their saviour. :D

  19. It must be frustrating for him.
  20. Peter, I am an electrician as well and the 2015 rings are definitely grey.
  21. I was watching the kids while the wife was on a old workmates outing. I took them to the show and would have left them at the back of the hall playing computers, but Linda advised me not to bother. other than that I would have been there to represent my Federation. You are correct in regard to the apathy, but some seem only interested in racing their doos and complaining about the organisers. There was a cracker of a sale on yesterday as well. I didn't completely waste my day though since I attended my Club AGM instead. The oldest lassie watched the weans whilst I was away for an hour or so.
  22. He's busy on the Glasgow site, if its the same guy. Somebody posting under his name. It appears around three others are posting comments using his name, so he is continually stating it is not him that is making the rogue posts.
  23. It is normally only late-breds that I breed. Very few earlier ones, if any. It takes a little longer and some more patience, but they seem to be coming on well. I have less losses now than when I was breeding earlier YB's. I bred 09 and 10 yb's as normal, but since then it has been late-breds in the main. 2011 was a bad year for me, 2012, a little better, 2013 and 2014, I think I have it sussed now on how to deal with them. The earlier years, 2011 and 2012, I pushed them too hard and was too impatient. Very often they have more nest flights than new ones. The nest flights hold more water and deteriorate as the season progresses, so you have to be careful with weather and keep an eye on their moult. Dropping three flights in the one week is their way of catching up. Growing feathers takes energy as well, so if you give them care and time, they will reward you.
