Hopefully Lanarkshire Federation members back this idea. The pedantics regarding the channel races are of no real concern to the WRC. The important issue is the general idea. This can only be good for the sport and the west of Scotland. There should be no concern over the politics. Who controls the race, SHU or RPRA. If all the Federations come on board for the good of the sport and the pigeons within their Federation, it doesn't matter a jot whether their Members join the SHU or not, whether their distance is calculated by the SHU or RPRA. For the purposes of the individual Federations this will help their pigeons and their members, so they should pull out all the stops to back it fully. Forget individual egos and think of the future. This must be given the chance to flourish for the sake of pigeon racing into the West of Scotland and as a lead to the rest of the country to form their own combines ensuring the future support of the sport in Scotland.
