  1. Dagenham Essex. Full cloud cover, brisk s/w wind
  2. I'd send regardless of how many are sending or not as the case may be. Club positions are only half the story, it can happen where you dont win the club and yet be well up in the fed or win the club and be miles behind in the fed. Base your performances on fed positions, your club is just the means to race in the fed.
  3. How many tosses they had BANDIT and how much are you feeding them.
  4. It may take you a little longer to get there than the big team fancier but your experience will be a better one. Enjoy
  5. The pigeon will need its confidence built back up more than it will need the experience of the race basket. I'd aim to get it into the last race and in the interim give it plenty of short sharp tosses.
  6. Nothing would make me happier if they come out of the eggs as yearlings.

Give this a try, might be a bit of mucking about involved. http://www.daftlogic.com/projects-google-maps-distance-calculator.htm
  8. I feed between 25-30% to my darkness y/birds throughout the week.
  9. Good advice there from just ask me, I'll just add a couple of things to he's list. Buy pigeons on the strength of old bird results not young bird results Look for fanciers that are consistently in the top 1% of their Federation results. Choose a fancier flying in one club over one that flies in two or three. Lastly, all that glitters is not gold. Do your homework. Good luck

How do you guys come to the conclusion that you have to treat to win. Did you find this out through practice or is it just something that you believe has to be done to try to get up amongst em.

The future of pigeon racing lays in natural immunity, the downfall in over medicating/drugging.
  12. 35/35 out of Peterborough doing 52mph
  13. Click the weather tab top left also shows ya where the current buns out 8) ;D
  14. All home. Happy
  15. West Essex 7:00 out of Pereborough. Light n/w
  16. Sent 35 to Peterborough 72miles, 394b sent in club.
  17. Take these stories of 100 mile tosses with a pinch of salt, same if you hear they're doing a mile a minute from training. I've never won a training toss yet
  18. also beware of sandstorms ;D
  19. The weather on the day for me would be the deciding factor, avoid strong tail winds and very hot days.
  20. Its an accepted part of racing down here now, if you don't cop it you can consider yourself ar$ehole lucky.
  21. An outbreak of e coli as a secondary infection mainly occurs in lofts that hold y/birds of various ages, it normally attacks the younger ones who's immune system isn't that of the older youngsters.
  22. My thinking is that YBS normaly kicks in after a race or two, you may find yourself having to put them into 170-200mile their first race back after the sickness which is far from ideal. Some people will take the chance of bringing them back a week earlier than they should to avoid this. Just to make it clear I'm not one of them.
  23. I don't think some race programs help, miss two consecutive races and you could find you've got the choice of jumping them 100+ miles or leaving them at home again.
  24. West Essex at Peterborough 72miles for the third week running

The big money that is made in pigeons is selling them of the back of performances
