  1. Its good enough to lib here at the moment, no problem.
  2. Sent 34 to Peterborough
  3. High cloud with a few breaks, light S/W wind
  4. Have a good race andy
  5. Stringfellows Lofts ;D You'll be putting mirrors on the top of their nest boxes next
  6. I'd pull the flights in this instance. I've been told if you cut the top 2/3rds of a week before you pull them it makes it less painful for the pigeon. You may find these new flights will be a little shorter than if were moulted naturally. I would avoid pulling them whilst the pigeon is going through the body moult.
  7. R I P Bobby
  8. As it stands at the minute the West Essex Fed are going ahead with basketing Friday for a Saturday race out of Peterborough. It looks as if there's an evens chance we'll get out of there.
  9. Feed the y/birds 8am, no exercise or training them Fridays. Check the weather again and again and decide if I'll sent them racing or not.
  10. A lot of first timers will be going, mix this with 2 nights in the basket = stress = a perfect recipe for y/b/s
  11. Pigeons sent & home from a 45 mile toss.
  12. If droppings OK and no obvious signs of respiratory I'd take them for a 20 mile spin and see how they come. If they do it in the right time I reckon the little sods have got a severe case of horneyitus ;D
  13. Lovely set up you got there. Pen training = Calligraphy :-/ ;D
  14. Could be a respiratory problem but has the pigeon a natural blue tongue? some do have this trait.
  15. Blue Tits drinking the cream through milk bottle tops?

  18. Yes I know sparrows are as rare as rocking horse $hit but I'm lucky enough to have them badging up in the hedges in my garden.
  19. Up before the sparrows in the morning basketing them up for 45 mile trainer. My pigeons not the sparrows
  20. How are they coming from training (timewise), slower than previous years or about the same.
  21. European studies found the same kind of results. Astro BioBest yogurt started with the most - 794 million live bacterial cultures per gram (175 grams per container or 139 billion per container). But near the end of shelf life, almost two-thirds had died (794 to 260 million per gram or falling from 139 to 50 billion per container). Organic Meadow (100 to 6 million per gram) and Danone (180 to 120 million per gram or 32 to 21 billion per container) stayed above the million mark on each test. Liberty yogurt fared the worst, starting off low at just 118,000 live bacterial cultures per gram — and dropping to just 4,000 after two weeks.
  22. Rain stopped play here
  23. I mix Natural Yogurt in their drinking water, the water I use is bottled water (lid taken of and let stand for 24 hours before use).
  24. Have the Germans got it right? Obtaining a fishing license like the German nationals are obligated to do is time consuming and quite pricey. Its process entails taking a 30-hour course. This fishing class has little to do with how to cast a reel or put a worm on a hook, but is an intensified study of fishing regulations, habitat and biology. This course is followed by a comprehensive fishing exam that tests what the students have learned.
  25. You might think its rubbish though.
