A training toss of around an hour (40-55 mile depending on the wind) on the wing 2-3 times a week wouldn't hurt. A one off training toss of 100 mile as preparation for a race wouldn't hurt neither but as a regular thing I would say is a no-no.

I personly dont flag my w/h cocks, watching how they behave during their exercise period can tell you a lot.

The club I fly in The Dagenham Trades Hall has a very healthy social side to it. Presentation nights we have between 100-150 attend. Birthdays a little spread at the club is put on. During the racing season Bar-B-Qs are held along with the occasional quiz night or race night. I have to say though this doesn't happen by chance, we all work very hard to keep what we have.

I stay at The Stretton on the North Promenade, nothing fancy but cozy.
