I am nae sure Chad who he is ?Had my hens doing 3hours in summer but bad trapping on race days were a let down Was feeding too heavy as well my own fault though I did not loose a feather out to Newark only 4races in total due to working away overseas for 5weeks . There must be wisdom in some of the books I've been reading .

Must be the feeding Chad they were empty as well as I feed as close to three pm as I can manage. Been reading books on the dark nights it's something I never really pay much attention too the art of feeding .But it fairly works .Canna wait for racing to start .

Just this last few days after birds all new feathered .I cut the feed down to once a day .I have never broken them down and still feed widowhood mix with about 10% barely & 2% black rape . Man it was marvellous watching hens 2 '1/2 hours they flew .I've never been one for scrimpin with food but just tried it to see . Result keep em on that amount racing I think ? Ps cocks never got their fly today !!

I've two eight foot sections with a just over two ft corrugated perplex running down center of each Loads of light .With full moon last few days it's like a light on inside .

Sharp sand used it for two years now .droppings dry in now time once every few weeks sweep and sive We drop clean sand on top .

Have been making one new trap to replace two that are past there best .Got frame and wire on but Ian stuck with what to do with the trapping and keep it water tight ? ? I am not good with angles wasted two 8 ft lengths trying !!! Man do I wish I was a joiner

I have used sharp sand for 2 years now .Due to working away for 4+5 weeks .Would not use anything else very easy to keep .birds are in top health clean feet droppings dry up in no time .I use a fine sieve once every now and then when a few acumulate .Have never used lime as yet .hope this helps.

Sorry it's not your one Craig it is a chequer no rings .Wife said it appeared day before yesterday. There is a lot of snipes on roof in next street probably hanging around with them .

Aye 33mls off Whitby over 300 Nehu birds on 1st Sep 2012'it was a strong wind from land westerly. It was just murder all young birds must have been hugging the coast when two perigrines struck.Panic stations and they just went with the wind out to sea .Allong with the pair of falcons.they only took five up to the derrick to eat. the reast they just dived and drove into walls wires and the sea all day and night Sunday .it was just murder nothing less.!

Mabee a we bit off topic .but I was over the moon to see my we griz hen on the trap with the blackest feet iv seen .even after two weeks at bb camps my feet were not that dirty.made up though must have been in the parks last two weeks.

10 out of 11 last one in was very wet.
