  21. Favourite time is watching old birds on open loft flying in and out over long spring days with items they favour ie string twigs leaves seaweed to furnish nests with.also a late late bred I got from maskeme & Mackie going hell for leather r with the hens when out.A we cracker. Least favourite.Has got to be moult and this terrible weather over summer and winter.

    Sparrow Hawk!

My hens were out two hours twice they landed on the house roof due to north wind.Only to take off again as a very dark brown hawk came over the roof after them. Bloody menace! Later on about 3.30 was down the sawmill saw the same dark bird worry the snipes? Never seen one so dark.It looked thin comp to usual ones we see.
  23. Aye could have saved many lives 70 years ago.If it made it back to its loft.So much Was hoped from these birds who had no idea war was going on With just the strong urge to home to the loft it was born in. People forget the important iformation entrusted in the humble homing pigeon. And the many lives they saved during war years.
  24. Got mine on widowhood and conditioner mixed all though winter . As they fly out all through the winter months .They are looking very well with pics my wife sent me .Each to their own ,
