Do you need to be a current member of the SHU to get birds transfered to you? I have been an individual member but did not join this year.I have my loft number, had it for years, would like to transfer birds and also get birds transfered to my name.
Looking for anybody that is going down to the Dundee area that can help get bird back to owner.I am in Portknockie,Buckie.and can meet somewhere near here if necessary.
Well done Gavin on winning and also well done Doug on having a great end to the old bird season after a poor start,1st club Worksop 310 mls,1st club Peterborough 370 mls,2nd and 3rd club Battle 490 mls,3 birds sent.
I have about 20 birds, old and young, free to anyone who wants them.I inherited the birds from a friend who was packing in.They are well bred birds and would give somebody a good start.I am beside Buckie,Moray and the birds would have to be collected.PM for more info.
I know that there's been losses with the old birds, but do you think it would make any difference to the young bird losses if, for the first 2 or 3 races, there was a few crates of old birds as well?
I need someone with a car/van with a tow bar.I have a 10x6 garden shed/loft in Huntly that i need to be taken to Portknockie. The trailer i can get is in Huntly and there's no lifting as the loft is in sections and would be ready to put on the trailer by us.I only ask for someone in the Huntly area because it would only take 2 journeys as the trailer would have to go back.
There are a lot of excellent fanciers in the Broch who could help you with information.Get yourself organised with a few loft visits or get them to come to your loft to see your birds,i'm sure some of your club members would help.
I'm not a Fed or Club member but i like to keep in touch with what's happening during the racing season. My friend and neighbour,Doug, races his birds and it is nice to be able to sit outside and watch the birds coming home.As i don't keep the best of health it can act as a good pick me up seeing the birds arriving home.I don't think that i am the only one thinking that this is nothing but childish behaviour, Wir nae gan ti tell ye far wir fleein fae or fit time they wir lit aff seems to be the attitude.I understand that it is not obligatory to use the Forum but fit hairm diz it dee and put it into the BHW so everyone knows where the birds are racing from not only the Fed members.
Can someone tell me what the problem is in letting fanciers on this forum know that their birds have been libbed.? Not everyone wants to use lib line as it is not free i believe.
Just looking through the BHW race reports. I think The British Barcelona Club Bordeaux National report gives too much info on Mark Bulled from Harlow. If you read the last two lines,it must be a typo.At least i THINK it,s a typo.
