Just noticed this post about National racing and thought i would add a wee bit more.It seems that the posts so far have all been from 'the central belt'for lack of a better word,what about the fanciers from the North who fly about 490 for their longest Fed race and about the 450 mark for the inland National,where would 490 take you,over the water?Flying from France is 600 plus,now thats distance flying,i don't think you would have many birds for the National if they made it 600 plus to your area.Inland Nationals.....Keep Them.

I was just wondering if anybody has any white or gay pied or reds or mealy racers to spare,they are not for racing and they don't have to be rung,only for enjoying them flying at home.I am in N.E.Scotland.Thanks.SORTED.

I have an aviary 8ftx8ftx6ft and i was thinking about covering the sides with that deflective netting stuff,the shade and windbreak that you get from garden centers,and would like to know if it would be any use.The roof is clear corrugated plastic and this would hold my young birds and stock birds.

I need to get birds picked up from Derbyshire to go to AB56 postcode,so i phoned High Flyers UK and got quoted £80-£90 [6 birds]Now i know that we have to pay more now because of the situation we are in regarding couriers but i think this is a bit steep,what do you think?If i could get the birds up to George at Saltire Couriers in Uddingston he has a first class service and would deliver them.Any help or ideas welcomed.
