I have decided to stop keeping birds altogether,i have been in hospital for an operation which will take some time to get over,so if anybody wants my loft which is 17ft in length all they have to do is take it down and take it away.I am in the N.E. Scotland beside Buckie. It has 3 sections and there is also 6 nest boxes,two sets of 3 Boddy and Ridewood,and some drinkers etc.

I am going to try to make my own sliding loft panels,anybody know where i can get 2x1 inch by 6 feet lengths of timber,about 16 lenghts,at a reasonable price. I could go to my local Travis Perkins but i thought i would check the site to see if anybody has some or knows of some second hand.I am in the N.E. of Scotland.

what would you class as a late bred? which month would you say is the latest that you could hatch to race the following year?

hi,would anybody be interested in my show rollers,i would like to exchange them for a pair of long distance birds of the old strains,kirkpatricks etc,there are 3 pairs and 3 young birds of very good quality,just got them this year,PM me for all the info.I only have a small loft so i need the room to hopefully build up a team for racing next year,i would prefer someone in Scotland as it is easier and cheaper to get the birds delivered.

is it safe to use in the drinking water,say about the same strenght as you put in the bath,was told that if you use once a week it helps to keep the nose area clear.

I joined the shu a few years ago as an individual member,i have a loft number so they know when i joined,so the form i filled in and got signed by club officials must have been ok.I dont race birds but i can only get rings if i join for that year which is fair enough,but if i try to get rings transfered,if i have been given any youngsters etc.,i cannot because they say you have to be a member every year,i also had a cheque kept last year but the birds were not transfered,i cannot see the logic in this and think that this only causes more agro,which the sport does not need.I am a member of the RPRA which i joined only once a few years ago,birds transfered no problems.

you should breed,from a red cheq cock to blue bar hen, blue bars,mealys,blue cheqs, red cheqs.all could possibly be pied if one of the parents is w/f or pied.

they are a fancy breed called the Flegyhaser a breed of tumbler

I think you have a strawberry mealy pied cock and a blue pied hen if they are from the same nest
