  1. Bet they weren't involved in ANY of the 2053 Nuclear explosions since 1945. That's on earth. Never mind the ones now being let of in space. Interesting is this mapping of where they are . Yes 2053 so far and counting ... whilst millions are starving. Africa spent 150 £billion in 10 years on warfare... and they are way down the list. There was enough food to feed 21 Billion each year... Yet only 4 - 5 Billion tops benefitted from it - to keep the prices up. So the World Food Organisation stopped it as being grossly immoral... and now only enough to feed 12 billion is allowed. Only 7 billion in the world eh! Tet still every year £millions plus are given for a deserving cause to 'Feed the hungry! I think Geordie there is a World war on the human population every year which is getting worse. Mostly through greed and power. The masses being the fodder to their own ends. JMO
  2. If you look into history, when wars were as frequent as they currently are and of a similar size and intensity, the attrition served to limit the populations. I am not advocating war, merely stating a thought. Far from the truth and reality Kyleakin. A myth if one cares to watch. AS to lives lost etc. this shows how it has got worse and worse every decade. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTdEQwE6hF8
  3. Mate is a roofer. Has his own firm / company. The sheets are covered in transport and storing with other sheets .... given away, or every thing left is took to the scrape yards and weighed in. Maybe you know some one the same like?
  4. I have a old paint tub outside the door. I scrap the foot wear into that. Then outside that door I have a steel door grid which I scrape the feet on again. Then at the back door another grid. Nowt gets in the house... nor the garden. £13 well spent and the missis no longer breathing fire lol. I am looking at cobbs to layer over the easy bed. - Found a lot of different easy beds. It is at least 6 inches deep. I also pick up and scrape the droppings and change it every 4 - 6 weeks leaving about 20% old droppings. Again a small price for a fresh smelling loft. Plus I lime the floor every time, and mix in 'White'. Three compartments a couple of hours and a trip up the tip.
  5. Wouldn't be walking too much even Paul. I think, sorry to say, you are over doing it. Yes you will do the run etc. But a big price after you may well be heading for.
  6. I think it will suit a scotsman down to a tee lol
  7. How's it going. Had a rest I hope, now back with a little warm up. The most important thing about any Physical training is the warming up before hand.
  8. 28 yards to lofts / and sheds. Want to get the birds into a converted attic ... but can't afford the lift lol.
  9. Rest up ... walking only Paul. You will do the 6K easily now any way. Besides only you have a 'Pride' in time. We just a 'Pride' in you doing it... Whatever the time. You carry on training mate and you very well might not be able on the day. Then your pride will sting you. Take it from one you knows and coached and did the BM course etc. JMO All the best mucker.

  11. All the best to you Walter, another stalwart. Some things never change eh!
  12. I thought you were going to do the 5K all in one go mate lol. Still over a week or so will be fine as far as I am concerned lol.
  13. Not bad for the 440 ... a mite to go yet then mucker lol :emoticon-0140-rofl:
  14. Mice, probably even a weasel will get through 1/2 mesh.
  15. Do me mucker. I hope the youngsters are cost effective lol
  16. the one that never fails ... a maggot. Don't let anyone catch you using it though lol, as it is frowned upon bigtime. Banned via nigh all, if not ALL Trout fishery's. Use a boom. (A few lines dragged loaded with maggots)... fill the freezer lol. Thoughty I'd look this up. Shows much. With a little forethought one can quickly have a pack a way one made. Very, very effective with a maggot for trout. They can't resist them. http://www.planetseafishing.com/tutorials/read/how-to-make-tube-booms/ http://www.bing.com/search?q=how+to+make+a+fish+Boom&form=PRGBEN&refig=22d254bcf0fd4801a26bd5982bbf934c&pq=how+to+make+a+fish+boom&sc=0-22&sp=-1&qs=n&sk=
  17. Posted 21 October 2015 - 08:54 AM If British steel had been subsidised Scotland would not have to go to China for the simple reason the price would be competitive ,its seems its cheaper to create the unemployed and dole cues than invest long term in creating and maintaining employment in this so called Great Britain ,poor investment back into where the elite made their money created this in the past ,as the saying goes, to take from the rich is terrible ,but to take from the poor is Capitalism .IMO. When mixed with the Swedish ore, our steel was the best in the world. With a little substicy the cheapest too. Like wise our coal. £26 a ton to produce... with a £1 a ton substicy for making it smoke zone happy the cheapest bar far. Germany paid £28 a ton substicide .. from £56 a ton.
  18. Slugs! A good fisherman will take them off you. The black are brilliant for catching chub. The greeny / yellows ones are also good bait for fishing with. Best bait for pike / zander is a live mouse. Best bait for the run of the mill are spiders.
  19. Well, any up date Andy?
  20. Think it is the public glory that they miss. If they can get the odd media, or after dinner appearances etc. and stay in the public eye, then all well and good. Some can and do ... most lack that something special, the 'Hook' as it recalled as.
  21. Many bad race points. Perth where they have to, well don't have to, but will go out through the valley like and then down via the coast. Like wise Lerwick where out over the seas till Grimsby, or the wash .. where incidentally they follow the shore round apparently. Time the inland clubs flying North Road went up the centre and forgot the East Coast libs. Has been made like this due to the NRCC and them transporting the birds for others.... the East Coast club. None in our shire and very few in Leicester and Rutland ... say no more. Mind Lerwick is one of the hardest races world wide, and certainly in the U.K.
  22. He has proven himself the best since the Eubanks / Benn and Collins era without a shadow of a doubt. Age will catch up with him as it does all. He has money in the bank. A world record by 3 of the most fought number ones... beat all bar Ward - then who can? Yes he probably would beat Degale ... but why chance it and stain his record. That would be the one remember if he loses and ...
  23. Roland

    Muttly

Has any one a contact for Muttly. He makes good perches / boxes etc.
  24. Roland

    Locked Up

Agreed Kyleakin 100%. Maybe it hasn't crossed their minds, any removing the ring does. Used to be the Rubber removed.
  25. walterboswell59 says' only gale force winds keep my birds in out in all other weathers if they don't like it they can come back in'! Spot on. Mind I don't train in the rain if intending to send them that week - end .... I feel it takes the edge of them. If not racing then up they go. I put time and effort in 'Molley Coddling' them. Small steps etc. Good days, and warmth. Lost more and well behind on hard days etc. Going back to former times and just be interested in the longer races etc. The sprints, which I've never been interested in can stay will those that like them. Will be back to just sending them races if I feel need sharpening up etc. So yes Dal12 I stand correct again lol. Birds will have to like my system and want to be here in their hotel. Ones that aren't happy can go and save my money on feed etc. and breeding their likes.
