Brewer's yeast or Whey protien on Maples, Tic Beans... very slight with the Whey though on the feed, protien if over done is poisonous. Honey in the water for a day or so. Rest and contentment and they should build in no time.
-
You can carefully clip it, make sure the blades / clipper are sharp ....
-
Good to see merit where merit is due. Wouldn't dispage of course against any of the fine feats of all the pigeons. Yet that surely must be up for the RPRA merit award!

Try a 14lb Glasgow Engineer' first, a big lump hammer, they seem to shift most things with them lol.... Mind Linnels are rubbing the hands.... Sorry mate, but a good many ole imers in the club oft know whats what like, the clock setters may well have some advice, good or bad, but sooner fixed better mended I guess
-
Sounds about right that.... and save costs on laces too lol.
-
Sure, but that would be asking for common sense to be applied.... not an abundance of that on many ego trippers agenda though!
-
Bet that was the norm eh Tammy, wing stamp too large to be contained on 20 flights.... Never known a SU Bird yet, - and no one has eitherin the three clubs clubs I belong to. And likewise at Fed meetings it is often bought up.... but perhaps they don't realise you don't HAVE to be able to read, let alone write, as you BUY a wing Stamp.... oh of course just twigged, Stamps cost a few pence to buy, so guess there won't be any after all lol.

Well have a reply from the Council saying my Email was noted etc.

The aurgument of DAFRA - DAK - Is that a bird may just land there abouts and pick it up on it's feet etc. and carry it home ... plus a bit to that which makes a case, faint chance I know But they say 'Have to protect our shores' etc.

you know too much crap is fed. put on feed, in the water 'Has to be yellow to be stella' nonsense. Feed them grass, golly look how powwerful, Bison, and our Bulls are. Plankton in the water, look at the whales power. And why can't Pigeons eat grass! Because their syste,m isn't set up for it... likewise plankton. Cows etc. have 8 stuamachs to cope with the digestion for instance. Legumes, peas, beans etc. and all their natural food contains - mostly unless birds get sick, or poorly etc. - all the mins and vits they want and need. etc. etc. A cup can only hold so much... then is over full and passes out as waste.

Dear pigeon fancier friends, Due to a case of avian influenza in Germany, France has taken measure regarding Poultry and pigeon races. As Belgium, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, etc...use France a lot to organise their races, any decision taken by France regarding the pigeon sport can be crucial for the continuity of the current racing season. According to a press communiqué from the french Ministery ( of 24th of June - yesterday ) which you can read here ( in French ) http://www.agriculture.gouv.fr/spip/leministere.leministrelecabinet.communiquesdepresse_a7106.html it is forbidden now to race pigeons over certain departements* in France. In practice ? What does it mean now in practice for the pigeon racers in Europe ? Well certain pigeon races, like Marseille or Orange, which are situated in these departments that are forbidden for pigeon racers, possibly will be cancelled...Other races like Barcelona have less danger to be cancelled, because the pigeons have to fly over zones in departements which are not on the forbidden list. On this very moment the president of the french pigeon federation Mr. De Sousa is negotiating with the French Ministery to have favourable conditions for the pigeon races. As soon as we know more about this, we will keep you informed. A lot of people are discussing about these matters on our discussion forum : Avian Influenza-section : : http://www.pipa.be/forum/viewforum.php?f=14 Season 2007-section : http://www.pipa.be/forum/viewforum.php?f=16 General-section : http://www.pipa.be/forum/viewforum.php?f=1 Kindest regards,

Avian Influenza is back. At least 6 (5 swans and 1 goose) of the 14 dead birds found in Nürnberg, Germany, the last few days are of the H5N1 variant. I am glad that the hysteria associated with last year's outbreak (which involved poultry) seems to be missing since this involves just wild birds so far.

Would like some decent 'walking Boots' for mine if poss.... lol

Young Jimmy, many naturl are beating the widowerhood on the shorter races now, and natural dominats the longer, hard and more prestigous races. So get the system that suits you, observe and soon you too will be holding your own. Sure it is hard for the same system to win evry week, as you prepare for the 7 weeks you want your birds to peak condition wise. To hold form longer is hard and an art that will take patience and time to master. That is why many have different set ups and 2/3 teams. Our mere plebes have to be content to strive to win the races we are more inteested in. But 12 pairs of naturals would suffice to be there abouts most weeks.

Hens don't make as much noise as half the the ole hags haggling in the middle of the pavement lol.... And seriously if you put a cockerel in a shallow crate at night he can't crow in the mornings as he won't have room to lift his head high!

Yes use to take molehills home regularly, and spring water, like I previously posted. I only water day old water that has been left covered over night to stop creepy crawlies and muck falling in, BUT it has the Containers' lid supported only an inch or two above. to allow the air to take out the floura and Chora etc.

Like I posted ...'when not flying, chasing another bird... they are picking at any and every thing.' By the way Jimmy have never bother with Grit, Calcium etc. for breeding and rarely with Grit... but if contained to the loft, it is more a 'Contentment thing' .... But open up any gizzards of a pigeon and you will fnd qualtz, so ....
