  1. Yes Steve I am in total agreement with you.
  2. Unlike France we have, and have had for centuaries, the finest 'Marshall Law' evr. and it has, and does work exceptionally well for the Goverment. and many other concerns etc. etc. Indeed we spout about our Freedoms etc. But in realitythat is allowed as long as we are cowed.
  3. Agre Sammy .... so end of.
  4. This is truly remarkable... THE BIRTH OF A HUMMINGBIRD This is truly amazing. Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE At the bottom of each page; there are 5 pages in all. A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to leaving the nest. It took 24 days from birth to flight. Because you'll probably never in your lifetime see this again, enjoy; and please share. http://community.webtv.net/Velpics/HUM I just thought you would like to see it. after the last one eh!

Yes strange that.... believe it is down to costs and tax etc. though. France send a lot of different stuff into Beuim and bring it back after a week so I was informed to - day .... not on about poulty though.
  6. Correct Rose, but no club rule can supercede a RPRA rule obviously. That does take a Regional debate and pass etc. first. But any club can make a rule that doesn't contravene the hier archy , and likewise no RPRA rule etc. could go against the 'Law of the Land'.
  7. 100% correct.... 47,000 members a fiver each and we could have think tanks, PR firms in our corner and painting our story while the Q.C's battle at what they do best at. But the RPRA are scared to suggest spending members money, because if they were levied a fiver thaey would expect cheaper rings, no transfer fees and big cash prizes for meriteous awards I've no doubt.
  8. Can do it over the phone now too Rose, but have been in two clubs when I had birds real late 9. 50 and 10. 11. I had to clock control my clock - it was Pin *expletive removed* toulette - and meet the next day at club for clock readings.
  9. Pender do you actually have any inkling what you are on about! I doubt it very much, just a load of twaddle. And certainly nonsensical at that! AGM'S aren't the only meetings that can change rules etc. However THAT Rule has been rescinded by the RPRA. There are many others that need to be. And most are already obsolete in 'Law' but are bought up because it serves a purpose. Likewise I don't know the SHU etc. Rules, but it may very well be that that very rule has become obsolete. Any Practise that is carried out over a short period of time in essences changes the old rule, or becomes a rule. But you wouldn't even be able to understand that! So as you are very bright, I'll let this correspondence cease s it will only be like banging my head against the wall.... which is nice when you stop, but I am above that twaddle and tilly tally rubbish you wish to spout ... especially as you don't even know what you want to spout, or say, and certain not anything sensible and worthwhile.
  10. Yes the RPRA rules state clearly that ONLY the Old Toulets that were Pricked need to be clock controlled. Any printer doesn't as it automatically puts the new date up at 12 Midnight! So Ken wouldn't have been disqualified, and further must have grounds of appeal if he wasn't using he old Toulette. No club rule can supercede / override the governing bodies. hat's a fact, so pender that must mean we can all cheat eh!
  11. What a silly little twerp you have proved to be pender. And well you know it!!! Must be near the truth and put your nose out of place eh! First off grow up, secondly learn to read proper, and then look at the 1000's of 'Laws' broken every day oin all walks of life because they are useless and antquated. And as for Cheating where dig you pull that from! you plonker! For instance how does not applying an out of date rule allow the whole sport of 'Pigeondom' to be cheaters. -My name is Roland not pender the bender and I don't cheat, and no wish too like the 46000 other fanciers that believe that when a law is obsolete it should be struck of. And I'd wager that EVERY club nigh has these laws of past that are not been revoked, or voted on to be recinded. Yours included bender. Next to you spout Pender look in the mirror and A. wipe the brown of you mouth, and B. the brown off your nose! Because that was absolute CRAP!
  12. Here Hear, very true, and at days' end the acheiving the goal of channel racing must be the main objective. 'Little children help mother' is I believe very appropiate. 'All hands on deck' and certainly 'More the merrier'.

    Fighting Fund?

Doesn't come under any European law Vic. I is up to each Member state to do as they wish to independantly to protect their borders.
  14. Spot on Chrissy, and the main gripe is 'Cost' which they incurr for breeding far too many birds to supposedly offsett their loses. Which in simple terms means, bad management and simply bred to Lose. Have 13 from the 14 I started training this last two days, a mite early for me, but as I was a bit later breeding - usually about first week in April, I was getting them down proper on eggs in the third week. So they have gone a week early. Lost two of the top, two culled, and one tonight hit a wire. but hope to compete both ways sucessfully as I promised myself I will race the y/ b's this year throughout, usuall one if that.
  15. RPRA rules state that if you have it reported then after discussion, if the 'Finder' says he won't cull or even let it go, then YOU have to send for it.... Up before the beak if you don't. it is an RPRA rule I believe.
  16. I believe there is in most cases a Timer that say 'Clock Control' at days end, which means that it starts the next day clear. This was mainly for the Pricked clocks, but as most printers don't have this problem, then in most clubs this is just ignored, unless you have a Pricked paper clock of course. Personally I would want that prize knowing two birds beat me, and certainly not of a ruling that today has no merit. A court of law would quickly overturn that decision you can wager on. And just who was the 'Do Gooder' that sprung this crap eh! Must be real proud person I bet now. But still head down eh and mutter 'Rules are Rules, and as the Lord of the flies say B8887cks' to the rules. Nah too much bad taste in many mouths Chris for that I'd wager. Bu if Ken isn't fuzzed - but I bet he is more than a little miffed and quite rightly so if that was the ruling - then it will be glossed over, but never forgotten I' wager.
  17. Mnd I will support wholeheartedly - like promised before etc. - WELL done the BICC, and about time too I guess.
  18. You know, and I hate to say this yet again, but if the RPRA levied every member £5 they would have the means, funds and a PR firm on board to boot quite simply. But apparently they are still worried about the out of member if they levied a single quiddy for a PR firm. This would need to be on board to deal with the press / publicity. Peter should be a feeder only to the PR firm and a sensible 'Think Tank' with a professional outlook and way of dealing would also be on board. ...
  19. Soon be the September song of At this time of year when ghouls and goblins frolic Exiting their eerie perches from among the gravestone and catacomb, we hear from the phenomena’s indignant vitriolic "Visit my website, kiss my ring, or be subject to doom." Not so ye self appointed lords of pigeon enlightment we greet you with an extended middle finger and blasphemy Think you are bettering the sport with discontent? Go scratch your crotch, sue the *expletive removed* and leave your world with a legacy. Do you remember old what’s his name? Had a beautiful web site for all to extol. He sure lit up the sport with fame. Now he's dead, and his widow is off to a South Seas atoll With an Italian gigolo to spend his insurance. Never liked the ass hole, just his perseverance. Anyway got his crates, perches and clock cheap. Please pass me another jelly roll.

Let me know if I can help in any other way. Yours, Chris.
  22. Pompey Mick and Co, what is fair... and what is not! What just chalks up more fanciers leaving through short sight and selfish motives, Now that is very unfair, ... to the rest of us that have increased prices to make up for the ones leaving through being unfair! Isn't it about time that ppl woke up and smelt the coffee, that is the very attitude that has caused so many to leave our sport! And all the selfish ones can say is something silly like'They would have left anyway'! and 'If it was for that reason it would be for another' ... so isn't it about time those that have, that thing most are there just to bolster their coffers, took a step backwards and looked in the mirror. For sure as eggs are eggs, those winning will still win so why BEING SELFISH AND STRNGLE THE VERY LIFE BLOOD OF OUR SO CALLED SPORT, AGAIN THE GRAS ROOTS.
  23. Agree with the above Expat! and that has never been a cause or an issue with me, I am all for the ET! But the simple realiy that I find the Pro ET brigade are keen on, are protecting any and every second advantage. Or simply not willing to state that 'Good part' about the ET. It comes as a package surely, and those, be it through their lofts being a precarious location, or the cost, especially with the younger generation and their out lays, are being penalised because they can'e enjoy the same merits that the ET affords others, so again I say I will have one if the lub etc. penalise me 15 seconds or so on my first arriva, and 5 seconds on each after. Because I am a realist and a fair minded sportsman! Besides I would, don't want any unfair advantage like ...
