Yep, I guess the hardest thing is 'Where do you draw the line' :-/ If needed that is. This is, and of course has been a great thread. When one looks back say for 4 pages between 5 - 9, then compare with say 14 - 18 it is immensely different. I, for one, and most of you really enjoyed those earlier pages. Now, like so many, I just skip through the names on the left, or when a Picture comes up. So yes I am able, fortunately, to miss much of the trivia enjoyed by a few. Having said that, I don't mind or have a problem - though feel it is a shame - if the few chit chat between themselves, as basically it is in good taste between them, and no falling out, so perhaps that's a bonus :-/. I look in every 4 or more days now. Was every day a few times like most.

So are you after keep the blood / genes / making a pool of their traits. Seems that a pool would be good. Has the cock bird bred anything any good? Or the daughter for that matter? Not knocking, every one to their own and how they seem fit. Mind I don't think Ron Williamson is a novice. Especially when you remember his great tutor too. Likewise others names.

And some fell on deaf ears eh!

Wouldn't get into 'Incest breeding' till you understand the goals you are trying to achieve. Also the birds needed to do this have to be the real McCoy and again a realistic and good reason for doing as suh. Remember that 755 or more don't even understand why they do it and most of them have no idea why, let alone the effects and degenerate consequences that can quickly take place. Further, the Ofspring of the inest breeding are purely for stock in the main essence and not for racing. remember it is the 'Out Cross' that is then all important. Inded if you look at the beginning of nigh every Family / Strain it was the introduction that made it. personally untill you havea few 'winners' and a good loft of real Good birds, why would one want to inbreed, let alone incest breed them. Remember that one can put into something that is not there, producing is normally a 'Lesser' and inferior result - though in retrospect a pigeon wasn't designed for what we intend, so so much can be gotten away with. Also rremember that 'Line Breeding' is vastly different that Incest breeding - which produces great results.

A Mealy (OR) a Red x Gay P ;)ied.

Well I'll start you of at a tenner a piece lol ;D ;D Yep certainly look a class pair.

:-/ :-/ :-/ Think you'll find that it would cost a flipping lot more. Ply is damp warps easily and lets face it, these, especially if Bee Waxed, not only do the same job, but last every bit as long.

Don't need a 'Warning sign unless a memer of the public, nieghbour is able to come into contact with it.... Not many walk on top of the loft lol. But again in haste to get of the roof, the cat gets added tension which can only bode well I guess. Mine - when set up again - It runs off a transformer bought with in the £63 + VAT frame and costs less that £6 a year to run if kept on all day and all night.

If that is Dave Boxford, he's birds bought well at he sale. He also flew well. has the record of 7 Gold Cups, - Debbie Sturgess and B. Andrews 6 apiece. This is awarded for the three longest races. Of course Busschaerts excell at the distance as most will tell you that actually fly the distance. Indeed our fed distance is dominated by Busschaerts, and to be fair F. Bristows' W. Thas birds. Yes Dave was a good flyer, especially as he was a mite in the West.

Nothing, they don't need any. Mind if they ever need a helping hand, which they may from time to time, I'd treat for that pacific. Would also question the constitution of any bird ill ... especially if other don't get affected. Would of course take note and thinkany bird not showing symptom may turn out to be a carrier.

Well you will have to raise 3 feet of the ground. Then glue panes of glass on the legs or whatever. Also sheet glass it underneather. Can't gnaw, or climb glass.
-
By the way, lot 16 cost me £85 not £35. I was lucky enough to get the loft mate (15) for £35. Both sprinters apparently - obviously if nest mates ... or ... :-/ - And never been interested in as such. But they are show clas. Also bred in the purple so who knows... Bergerac / Lerwick becomes a sprint now lol.
-
I bidded on it too. But sensed that others were more intent. Glad to know that £140 wouldn't have got him.... would have been a bit miffed lol.
-
Heart rendering. Nothing less!

Frank just google Country stores, or electric fencing. They send for 34 45 p + p.
-
No good whatso ever. Was in the carpet trade and used very heavy gripper sticks. Cats just walk along the time easily.... A mite slower is all. Personally I can't see why for £6 a year to run a electric fence one would want to experiement etc. when a electric fence works just fine.

Stead lads, with all this freebie of good will he'll have a ball buying only the best at Blackpool this year lol ;D ;D
-
Thank you lyndon. I never introduce myself etc. - which in it's self was a rarity lol. Seems I couldn't put names to faces and like Bakes was a little abash, being the first time I went to a auction to actually buy lol. There wasn't a bad bred bird in the sale which I knew there wouldn't be - I posted as such before having seen Johns set up and birds. I will be inviting a few round to see them in the Flight to pee a few off lol.
-
Lot 24 was £160. 18 £115 12 was £85 etc. etc. Knackered, so am off to bed lol... gotta sweet talk the missis lol

Not doubtine you or the Vet .... But must birds can be treated and even raced a few days after :-/ Some 'Names' and the Vet Mr Parsons - Was there, but can't recall as to his voiced oppinion - but they ALL said the same. If vomiting etc. encourage the others to pick up too. Sooner had and over with the better, preferably before race season (Youngsters). Now another core that say they have had Y/B say it was devastating and they ulled heavy. I personally believe this is misguided at to just what they have Pharoid / Samanella is a better line to be going I'd say. - Was he / she a practising AVIAN Vet that deals regularly with pigeons? But first loss is the best loss...
-
Mr Swilcox German one sure fit the purpose, and at a very decent price. Not tto far either I'd guess. But maybe I'm misssing something.

Think Money and Greasey palms bear the bulk as to why Strapper.

What's the times, regarding Johns -Formula's lofts, viewing and sale kick of?

Doctor Dave had sex with one of his patients and felt guilty all day long.. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he just couldn't. The guilt was overwhelming. But every once in awhile he'd hear an internal, reassuring voice in his head that said: 'Dave, don't worry about it. You aren't the first medical practitioner to have sex with one of his patients and you won't be the last. And you're single. Just let it go Dave.' But invariably another voice in his head would bring him back to reality whispering: 'Dave ................................., Dave................................., YOU'RE A VETERINARIAN

Agree 100% again with Owen. Countrystore are great. With transformer etc. £70. there are two under £70 + VAT. one never needs bother again. Works all year round day and night for less than £6.
