  1. Have mine over a wire roof. They form a false roof where there is ample ventilation beneath. Nary a problem. Think I should / may change the odd one to clear like I used to before to allow the sun position to always be known to the birds ... lighter too.
  2. Probably... but has always - like many do - have had trouble with certain stles etc. Mayweather just seems to glide over and past them. So that is why I always believed that Mayweather had the 'ALROUND' ability to beat nigh any one. Including the Pac Man. A batam wieght once 'Streuth some fighter him eh.

  4. Seems to be unofficially. Think it is a nigh cert now... Mayweather will beat Pac man now I feel. Mind did previously. TOO much money to turn down, and a great nest egg for either , or both, if one should retire after... but think the loser would fight on to redeem himself first. JMO.
  5. Think there is, and obviously always will be, excuses for loses. Natural I suppose. But the reality is that on certain days regardless losses / smashes will occur. Never mind blaming this or that, one has to accept the fact. One very basic.... though not wanted to be warranted by many - is if a pigeon. youngster or not, can home from a 20 mile chuck, home from a 50 mile race, then that is all one needs to know about that bird. If fit and healthy, then it will show up just how good it is regards racing on THAT day. Only healthy birds can win, only contented birds can become fit and healthy and conditioned... which has it's own built in motivation. They are the real essentials, not Lib points etc. OUTSIDE of unfair playing fields. Wind and location can't be beat, one can only harness / alter the sails. Those that spout otherwise are those in good positions and 'Leading the gullible often. Many yearlings fly over 500 miles having first race... 650 miles 2 year olds having one or two, but EVEN first race with great success. So I think the real question is COSTS and not vote according to how one benefits... but again that will never happen!
  6. That's a good enough one for me lol :egyptian:
  7. Yep, they take a good photo mucker ... can they Race They certainly look the part.
  8. Yes, they are open all the time.... you close them only on race days. Yes they still get 'Trap Shy' and soon start to turn out and escape - or at least try to when you approach. Many master it. Guess it is a big improvement from going into the loft and catch them... but they get just as wiley avia trap use. Think personally I'd only use them on certain races that count to you... Me, well personally the shorter races as longer birds timing isn't often as essential.
  9. AMIR KHAN has officially appealed against the decision following his controversial points loss to Lamont Peterson. Brit Khan, 25, lost his IBF and WBA light-welterweight titles in Peterson's hometown Washington DC this month. But both governing bodies will now hold hearings in New York starting on January 18. Khan was docked two points for pushing and Richard Schaefer, from promoters Golden Boy, said: "We believe there are enough grounds to have the decision overturned. "What happened was one of the worst cases ever of home cooking."
  10. My August / September late breds I bred this year, will be in 5 days time yearlings. Simple that.... as I couldn't race them next season y/b's for instance. But can race them upto 500 miles etc. if I so wished. Think, personally, that they would take all the beating at that.

    Rome Open Race

That was the start of WHEN most arrival times started to take place. Agreed it was extremely hot that race. Then 27 - 29 days with hardly any reported later from the Rome race as I understand it.
  12. Think his arrogance makes him believe he is above the law, and not answerable to any one or Law.... including the Tax man whom he's defrauded twice and had to pay up or go to prison. -I wonder how much he actually got away with :emoticon-0126-nerd: But then again it is surely the same arrogance that makes him a 'Great'. Like most greats I believe.

Whether fair on birds or not is debatable. My jury is still out on that one. Average bird time to home is 17 days. Prince Jackson had yearlings doing the 100 miles in two days. Now the simple thing is, as I see it, it is not only to test the birds... that has already been proven, but for personal satifaction and merit to the sender.
  14. Beating his girlfriend up, repeatedly apparently - the mother of his two kids aged 9 and 10 - means he goes to jail on January the 6th for 90 days. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-16296247 He is facing another court appearance next week on charges of assaulting a security guard outside his home in November 2010 in an argument over parking tickets. He is expected to plead no contest. Ms Luzaich cited previous assault arrests, two in which Mayweather either paid fines or was required to complete community service, saying fines were of no consequence to the boxer. Mayweather earned $25m for the fight than won him a World Boxing Council welterweight belt. But will be out for two months to train for his fight against Manny 'Pac Man'.

900 to you, 1023 to me. Bilco did the last one.
  16. Think I might have to watch it myself some time lol ... :emoticon-0140-rofl: :emoticon-0138-thinking:
  17. One must watch all from 'beginning to end' else one misses a lot. First part is an eye opener, last is more so. http://geraldcelentechannel.blogspot.com/2011/10/pastor-lindsey-williams-is-back-with.html

    Balotelli

Eccentric... but then that is why they are so often 'Greats'. Would have him in any team.

    Balotelli

I think it happened. And I also think it was very good of him. The 'Pac Man' manny gave away £4 million one Chrismas to the poor and down and outs. Runs the Nations Lottery etc. and is putting up for president or whatever when finishing his carrert. Again - as of now - a good man. Hope the sleaze balls in politics don'y wiegh him down, or entice him to change into one of them.

    Chicken Feed

Yep, and I think mine are faring very well on it. :egyptian:

    Chicken Feed

I am using two different poultry corn mixes at moment. No pellets at all ... though I am hearing some good results regards pellets fed at 15%.One has a little maize too, both have oats, and wheat and barley is also present. £6 40 bag. a £8 bag, a little heavier, and a £12 bag of Blue Ribbon, that smells of aniseed. all 25 ks. so works out just under £9 25 K. They eat every bit. Feather and condition is superb, and most have moulted out a treat. Will buy the same this week ... plus some maize and hemp which I will add a little at night if it ever gets cold around here.
  24. Ah well.... haven't seen it, but Ward must be a 'Great' born. Yes went upto the plate and took the cake on offer.
  25. Well Carl Froch is sheer class. An Gentleman to boot. Our best since the Eubank / Benn / Collins era without a shadow of a doubt. Maybe a little better at that. Is the record holder of the best sequence of fighters faced too. Yep is up against a class man tonight, no two ways about that. A fast and durable hitter to boot. But you know now over the stage fright of the big areana, I think the strength of his chin, and solid hard hitting will be too much for Andre Ward once he catches up with him.... and he will too, again no two ways about that. Think early rounds will go to Andre Ward, but he will become dishearten and nervous at time goes on. He hasn't met such a hard hitting and formidable foe as Carl yet, and though 'Greats' have to step upto the plate and perform sooner than later, I feel, certainly hope, that Froch will be too much for him.
