  1. England to beat Wales, narrowly, mostly by not allowing the welsh not scoring too much. Admitted the Welsh don't waste so much energy running sideway across the pitch and do get forward a bit more. Well Andy I was wrong there! The Welsh were certainly 'Crab Like; going sideways today AGAIN :emoticon-0137-clapping: . Gosh never penetrated the English defence above twice, and like we say one - a bad Countney mistake led to that... expierence they is no substitute eh! Gosh can't wait till England have built on such a good bunch of talent!
  2. Well Andy must say a wins a win and well done wales. But with five minutes to go you didn't think you had a chance. indeed England defended brill, and their passing and breaking was, to say the least, far better than Wales's. Yes it was a Try at games end, but be that as it may ... it would have been a good kick, even by Flood, to convert it. I think the reality is, Wales undoubted superior in expierence should - and did to some extent - not only ahve won this game but should have dominated it. well at least in some parts. But outside of 15 minutes of being slightly on top at the start, they never did. Indeed often out played and manuevred. They have far far better Mid field expierence wise. Yet in that regard theylost out too much... 80 caps to 7 tells one something. Yet never had one that took the game by the scrap of the neck, like England did. Wales Forward's caps were 10 TO 1 to englands, back row, need one go on. But one needs the luck of the ball, etc. and must take chances when they present themselves, which wales obviously did. But here is the crux of the matter, and far far more worrying for not just wales, but most others, when this young inexpierence side take hold, gell and continue to play as a team and do as told, then to be honest I think it will be a very long time before wales are victors again ... 7 to 10 years at least. Now the reality there must be as worrying for you as it it cheerful to us English. So make the most of you last win... Maybe it won't be till our great grandchildren are old lol  :002: :002:
  3. What does really suprise me is Wales are looking to win a 20th Triple Crown and a third in the last eight years, only England (23) have won more. England are just two wins ahead in their head to head to with Wales, (56 v 54). I would have thought Wales would have been far ahead on both of these stitatics. Remembert when Wales in the late 50's and early 60's were unbeatable in home nation ... Thieving Welsh Games teacher made us all bet 2/6d on England and line up for payment Monday morning.
  4. Be nice that ... except replace Wales with England and fully patriotic.
  5. England to beat Wales, narrowly, mostly by not allowing the welsh not scoring too much. :002: Admitted the Welsh don't waste so much energy running sideway across the pitch and do get forward a bit more. Ireland should win a hard battle against Italy, The Scots may well turn up again, but I take France to win this one.
  6. England squad to face Netherlands: Scott Carson, Joe Hart, Robert Green; Well think them 3 are about right. Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson, Phil Jones, Micah Richards, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker; Think I'd get shot of Glen Johnson and Baines, we have a lot better youngsters. Gareth Barry, Tom Cleverley, Stewart Downing, Steven Gerrard, Adam Johnson, James Milner, Scott Parker, Downing - Barry would have to be out for me, better youngsters Theo Walcott, Ashley Young; Darren Bent, Fraizer Campbell, Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck Darren Bent and Wayne Rooney, have better Team Players that are hungry. But hopefully Rooney won't be fit enough anyway. Have a few more that deserve a place, so at least pearce is heading in the right way. Indeed his (Pearce's)Under 21 / 23 squad would do me, with the exceptions of Gerrard and Hart of course. I'd perfer Beckam in the squad that that lot old old Bummers! he could even do more good behind the scenes that the last 2 -3 tournement showrs did on the pitch. No two ways about that! The old brigade have proven nothing if not A. they aren't good enough B. don't play for their country with any pride and conviction. Yes I know that they played well for club, but this is a different ball game, National sides need Triers with ability who can do as they are told and play for their manager ... The side that Spain was the very basic of what I mean and the country needs.
  7. I remember seeing Johnny 'Gypsy' Frankham fighting Johnny Branch of Fritzroy Lodge at Bermonsey Baths London. The hall was split into two. Amospere could be cut with a knife. One side was the Gypsies and the other East Enders. All wearing suits etc. The Pikeys looking scuffy Smart lol. Les Stevens the good gypsy heavy wieght was also on. I went up into the belcony and decided to spinkle the Pikeys with Bread crumbs and bombed them with balls of Tin Foil ... then stood back unseen. Then did the same to the other lot. They were getting mad to say the least when Ray Mackness - Our Heavy weight collared me and took me to the front of the Belcony and told all and sundry it was me pelting them lol. Was about 18 then and didn't really give a damm like lol. Mind I had to step lightly the rest of the night like. But I certainly got the rival gangs at it.

  9. Whether staged or real, it is going way too far as far as I'm concerned. No such thing as 'Bad publicity' they say... but as a precedent I think it is shamefull. there was a time when respect and dignity was the decorum and ettiquette of the day. As much as I disliked Henry Cooper i take my hat off to him in this respect, he was a fitting ambassador to the sport, like so many others. Yes there was charactors... Terry Downes for instance was a tremedous witt with his quips etc. Rocky Marciano - what ever one may think of his abilty, more than made up for that with his gentlemanly manner and dignity. the drums could beat on too well in the night I guess. No I think it was a step to far... soon THERE WILL be worse 'Capers' than what the Wrestlers stage TO sale tickets.
  10. Won't care if staged or not ... a terrible display for youngsters to see and think it is right.
  11. Regardless whether one likes or dislike Hayes or Chisora, one thing for sure Derek went 12 painful rounds... Hayes ducked and dived and looked for the floor in his world shot last time... No two ways about that. Hayes a first class bully and coward - as he has proved again, but has a good degree of talent and ability. He didn't try to get close enough to hit Valeau when he won the title. Was alway lead to believe that a close fight belongs to the champion, HE HAS to win it! Hayes was a coward then too. Thought he had retire... knew of course he wouldn't, was ashamed of his last showing and now envious of anyone else getting a little lime light and money. Hayes did the same in his last two fights as Harrison did against Hayes. Should be banned from enetering the ring for 10 years... and not allowed to have anything to do with the sport in any capacity. Think he may get a 2 year bann but will work his money through another name I guess. Chisora did stand up and take some stick... so earnt his money. Hayes got his under false pretencies.
  12. Because I'm a man, when I lock my keys in the car, I will fiddle with a coat hanger long after hypothermia has set in. Calling AAA is not an option. I will win. ______________________________________________ Because I'm a man , when the car isn't running very well, I will pop the hood and stare at the engine as if I know what I'm looking at. If another man shows up, one of us will say to the other, 'I used to be able to fix these things, but now with all these computers and everything, I wouldn't know where to start.' We will then drink a couple of beers and break wind, as a form of holy communion. _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, when I catch a cold, I need someone to bring me soup and take care of me while I lie in bed and moan. You're a woman. You never get as sick as I do, so for you, this is no problem. _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, I can be relied upon to purchase basic groceries at the store, like steaks, milk or bread. I cannot be expected to find exotic items like 'tofu' or 'tampons’. For all I know, these are the same thing. _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, when one of our appliances stops working, I will insist on taking it apart, despite evidence that this will just cost me twice as much once the repair person gets here and has to put it back together. _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, I must hold the television remote control in my hand while I watch TV. If the thing has been misplaced, I may miss a whole show looking for it.... though one time I was able to survive by holding a calculator..... (former applies mainly to engineers). _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, there is no need to ask me what I'm thinking about. The true answer is always either golf, cars, sports or sex. I have to make up something else when you ask, so don't ask. _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, you don't have to ask me if I liked the movie. Chances are, if you're crying at the end of it, I didn't… … and if you are feeling amorous afterwards... then I will certainly at least remember the name and recommend it to others. _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, I think what you're wearing is fine. I thought what you were wearing five minutes ago was fine, too. Either pair of shoes is fine. With the belt or without it, looks fine. Your hair is fine. You look fine. Can we just go now? _______________________________________________ Because I'm a man, and this is, after all, the year 2012, I will share equally in the housework. You just do the laundry, the cooking, the cleaning, the vacuuming, and the dishes, and I'll do the rest...... Like hosing down the patio and wandering around in the garden with a soda wondering what to do next. _______________________________________________ This has been a public service message for women to Better Understand Men.
  13. Had an enjoyable chat with Davey last night. Told him that he was being missed on here via few that posted as such, and of course many who haven't. He says he will get on site soon to have a chat and say thanks to those that have enquired of him etc. He won't be racing this coming season, and possibly the next one or two ... if he can hang out that long lol. However he is keeping his loft and a few birds - certainly enough to start up again when he feels the time is right. As for the 'Stray Centre' he feels - right I guesss - that as he won't be flying or involved he won't be seeing his way clear this time around to be doing it. Understandable that of course I guesas.
  14. I will do, I spoke to his wife again tonight. He is away to gone 12 tonight, and away early in morning. Expect him to call me in the morrow. The wife says he has no plans to fly next season
  15. Was No IS a good guy. Have rung him a couple of times to no avail - last time he was back at the doctors. Will phone him Tea time today again. I know he was in bad health, having a fgew medical p[roblems, hopefully they are being dealt with.
  16. Well heard from a good sauce regards the 'Suarez' do. Apparently Evra bad mouthed him a lot calling his sister some very nasty whores etc and got him going - His renowned for giving it back / out of course and has been targeted most gamees.! So he retailiated. When the FA. ask Suarez if he wanted to press charges he declined. Obviously thought best let drop, and let it blow over etc. THAT is why Liverpool are so incensed! So there are always 3 sides to a story ...

Within limits I sadly say - though never have voted as such - that there are times when the club is better off not voting them in! Cruelty to birds, cheating etc. AND some are a havoc waiting to happen. Some - I know - bad mouth and call other members rotten, and are two faced enough to talk pleasantries to the very same people. Some are just 'Stirrers' and ... etc. etc. have been in club where 'Cheats' have flown, some voteed in after, and these very same ones I've known to oppose any and every new member...
  18. Reminds me of November 1967 gosh. I was having my nineth fight. It was at Leicester Belgrave club, and I fought Fred liney the local hero. He'd beaten me before in my fifth fight... They DIMMED the lights and gave him a fanfare entry -after keeping me waiting 10 minutes in the ring - this time. Then they presented him with cups etc.and spouted about him being Schoolboy / Junior ABA champion and how great he was, ranted about his Midland titles etc. etc. BEFORE the fight!... I then went out and clobber him big time lol. Think I must have read the wrong script. The one where I was suppose to lose lol. They threw everything bar the kitchen sink into the ring. My trainer was fighting in the ring, which soon had many of us fighting in there too lol (They would have thrown that kitchen sink too if poss I bet lol). THERe was fighting every where. I got surrounded by boxersand trainers etc. and somehow got out and dragged into the changing rooms. After I got dressed I was off going back down stairs to the ring, when I was pulled back in and asked where I was going? I told them to collect my prize!!! They brought them up and I chose three. THEN I went back down lol and walked the guallent lol. I always picked 3 prizes before the fights there there after and mostly topped the bill. I fought Fred again 3 weeks later at Mkt Harbourer where the atmosphere was split in two. One side the Leicester Crowd, the other Kettering / Corby etc. I won again even more convincetly. Then again 2 years later at Thurmaston leicester (Again) when my club mate Don Carr beat their' local Johnny Allen. They had three fights and all wwere brutal streets scraping affairs lol. The Ref got fed up trying to control them and just rested on the ropes and let them get on with it!. He wouldn't have dared stop it, and the seconds parted them at the bells lol. Don carr my club mate won them all ...but we did have a great scrape that night too in the crowded WMC. I bet that club still remembers it lol. Johnny and Don became great mates and had tremedous respect for each other. Don't think any of their fights were 'Boxing Matches' to say the least ... But great to watch lol. Then at Manor Baths London ... But I DIVERSE lol.
  19. Sounds about right that. A very canny nation .... Canny give this, canny lend that ... then Canny fuke orf lol
  20. That is one of the all-time greatest Have posted before, but thought some may llike to read it ... Ole was hunting geese up in the Minnesota woods. He leaned his old 16 gauge against the corner of the blind to take a leak. As luck would have it, his foolish dog knocked the gun over; it went off and Ole took most of an ounce of shot in the groin. Several hours later, lying in a Duluth hospital bed, he came to . . . . . and there was his doctor, Sven. "Vell Ole, I got some good news and some bad news. Da good news is dat you are going to be OK. Da damage vas local to your groin, dere was very little internal damage, and I vas able to remove all of da buckshot." "What's the bad news?", asks Ole. "The bad news is dat dere vas some pretty extensive buckshot damage done to your pecker. I'm going to have to refer you to my sister, Lena." "Well, I guess that isn't too bad," says Ole. "Is your sister a plastic surgeon?" "Not exactly," Sven says. "She's a flute player in da Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. She's going to teach you vhere to put your fingers, so you don't pee in your eye."
  21. No need for the RSPB to worry about falling bird population.... After all they repeatedly claim that there is no crisis and falling numbers will sunstatially improve now the farmers are not sqirting fields with poison and being paid large amounts of tax payers money to leave hegdes and ditches etc. alone, or tidied up. So obviosly jit is ust another ploy to added to the £120.000.000 guarrenteed every year from members and wills and fleecing the OAP who mistakenly think it's benefits their back garden birds.

  24. Well first off, I said England win by about 8 points... Mind wasn't a free flowing point scoring game of course so ... Scotland played as individuals per usual. Wasn't up for team glory, just their' own. Their' off loading / passing the ball was diabolical, and none inspirational. Guts and thunder was as norm. For a inexpierenced side England play as they were told. As a team and they defended really well. I thought the way the line out was never to close for through balls and yet how they closed so very quickly was superb. Augers well for the future. Yes Flood was missed, as was one or two more. But I feel that England have a clutch of superb players in depth and the moment not to be a force soon. The kicker showed great power of distance... IF of target, indeed when a good penalty was for the and was ON TARGET it then fell short. that about summed up his day up as a kicker... But he will undoubtedly be better and improve because of today. Yes I think Ireland will turn the English over again with their' game plans and expierence. Think Wales may be a bit too much. I think though we will run them a lot closeer that we will Ireland. Title between France and Ireland I guess. Whoever beats who eh!
  25. Can't believe that Ireland don't seem to be getting the votes I'd thought they would. Ok of course National pride is taking it's toll. As for this afternoon game of England V Scotland.... Well the Scots are always a dour hard fighting side in any and every game. Never been much of a team nation in any sport of course. Mostly individuals playing their hearts out... so I hope this young inexpierence English side pack and play as a team and not give the ball away too often. But of course I do fear that the zealous part of them will be a battle to curb and undoubtedly will give a few stupid penalties away. Strangely enough the English pack had just about got the measure of that. So I think - hope - that the battling Scots will be as per norm and lay individually and the youngster of England play for each other. So should be about 23 to 15 in Englands favour. :002: :002:
