Actually I think there is a lot of merit in that statement Fly-catcher. Ireland have lost three good match winners of inspiration, Driscoll and Ronan being part time, at best etc., due to age like, and a retirement or two. So of course need replacements, which, I feel, will soon be welded with new players in. But of course the likes of them will be missed for a while... as they are not plentiful to say the least.

Well Fly_caster there is truth in that for sure. Mind I said France are the Class act gelling - like England. I saw in England's game against wales that the back row had just 7 caps between them to Wales 100 odd. Like wise throughout the team. NO substitute for expirence, as you most likely know. Yet an expirenced and well motivated team at the top of their game and confidence should really have out classed England. Indeed run roit, for they certainly would have wanted to, and would have given the chance. I thought yesterday that Scotland dropping and giving away penalties / the ball, was their' main fault. Ireland let them come and under let the Scots - under preasure - to do what they did, then Ireland did what they were suppose to do. Italy were out played, out classed and do seem to have lost the spark that they have so often they start the season with... dispondency has taken hold. Who haven't England met? The two best are ..

Well France are certainly the all round class act. Just gelling too. Without doubt the game to see how they will pan out in the next season or two. Yes I take England to win of course. Yes patriotic maybe, but they do defend so very well and quickly break. Then again France are full of clever little moves that can change a game. So tactfully and what not a very interesting game should be in store. Ireland have without doubt one of the best managers in the world! No two ways about that... Think that they will be too strong all round for Scotland. Wales may very well have a fight on their hands, should and hopefully will win. But I wouldn't put money on that. think it will a late surge if they do.

I think Paul, the main difference is that wales run side ways far too much. England have proven that they have the basic, and fundemental ability to defend so very well. - Will improve a lot - BUT the greatest asset that England have shown, and Wales seem incapable of is, is that as soon ast they win the ball back they are going forward so very well and quickly. Yes I do honestly think that any side will struggle in the next ten years to hold England, as they have so much more depth to draw from than any other Home Nation side. Have got shot of the Ego's and can only build, like wales had to 6 - 8 years ago, who reached the summit at the last World Cup. The vast differnce there was that Wales earnt and were proud as punch to wear the Shirt and did everything that they could. England - like our footballing side, think it is their' right and turn up to play, not to PERFORM. Wales had pride, and in abundance. Like I often quote, I'd rather have eleven players doing they utmost and playing as a team, and for each other with PRIDE and running for each other than the last 8 years of the egoestic crap we have put out in the last 2 -3 World cups at football, and the shower at the last Rugby W.C. Even if from lower divisions! Not above 4 -5 English names earnt any credit. Why they went is a baffling mystery to me. Couldn't even behave for 2 -3 weeks! They let their' country down so badly ... Trouble is they will still think that they were / are the 'Great I am's'. Wales / Scotland / Ireland play with the pride and tradition that put the English to shame. Give us that pride, a sence of belonging to be proud of and we would nigh rule the top places at both rugby and Soccer --- A side taking NOTHING for granted. That is why I get more pride with Scotalnd and Ireland and Wales, even envious .... Because they care and try!

I don't honest think that any of the 6 nations side - with possibLity of Frannce have the class in such depth ... England are fortunate in depth of numbers. So Andy - yet again - all the sides - not only in the six nations, but worldwide will now make it top of the agenda of 'How to contain the English' let alone beat them.
