I had to smile at this - the reason being that there are so many people using 'vaccinations' as a performance enhancer - bet the poor bl**dy pigeons would be glad of only once a year!

Its not very often I dial 999 - but there was a fire close to where I live - the flames lit up the sky (it turned out to be a barn) and I dialled 999 - it was engaged for over 15 minutes........!

I don't think the live vaccine is approved in this country - so I doubt that care would have been taken with the correct storage facilities (ie refrigerated, as they're supposed to be refrigerated in the mail as well) Also - I thought you were supposed to give a certain amount of time between antibiotics and vaccination - the antibiotics are surely going to leave your birds in a weakened state, their guts will be susceptible to infiltration due to lack of gut flora decimated by the antibiotics JMO

I really enjoyed looking at the fancy pigeons last year - and spent a few hours in the room - to be honest they were a lot more interesting than the race birds down stairs. Also there were a lot more people around who explained things to you (a friendly lot) plus a program for the classes which made it easier to follow as well - there were birds for sale at very reasonable prices (well - I mean cheap !)
