This is very true Ken, individual members cannot actually speak only listen, and only the fed delegate from each club is allowed to vote according to their club members wishes

As has happened in our fed - 4 smaller clubs with fewer members have voted for something that the other 3 clubs do not want - if it went on number of members however this would have been 50 against and 30 for. Why then should the minority have the deciding vote? (The smaller clubs would not allow a head count because it is not in the fed rules - but it is not in the fed rules that you cannot either - also these clubs have short memories as they are voting for something they had 2 years ago - then didn't want last year !!) Thought you took blood from toes or ankles - unless you are a vet - you just 'pinprick' the bird - it depends what you want - DNA is just done from a couple of drops of blood on a supplied 'cotton bud' with a cover

A mink devastated one of our club members young bird team - in broad daylight killing more than 30 in a matter of a few minutes, the rest of the young bird team were petrified for weeks

some just aren't fussy anything will do

They nearly all come from 'out the back' - our club sends 600 youngsters a week up until the the combine race I either collect or have them collected, I'm not a skin flint - I put telephone number rings on ALL my birds because they're my responsibilty and I want them back

I haven't had any youngsters reported this year
